The worst professor of any class I have ever had. Homework was so hard it stumped multiple tutors multiple times, and then he rudely refused to answer questions about it. Made fun of students when they weren't in class. His office looks like a tornado passed through it. He skipped two exam reviews. Took over a month to grade each exam.

Comment:

It took this professor 28 days to grade our FIRST test (PART ONE) within two days of the drop date. He was sick the entire semester and missed a couple classes/had subs. He would start class a couple minutes early and get upset when people would walk in on time. Doesn't use canvas ,but uses MML. I didn't know my overall grade ONCE this semester

He is always late to classes, and is unable to explain or answer simple questions without going into his personal life. He has not entered one single grade the ENTIRE semester! He will also work problems then about 10 minutes in realize hes been doing it wrong the whole time. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!

I am taking calc 1 with him and got an A because I am really good at math, but don't take him. I can't even call him a professor. He skips classes. He talks about his personal life. He doesn't answer your questions in class. He is rude. He can't explain and if he explains he exaggerates.

My semester, he was sick the whole semester, using it as an excuse to not teach, and to not grade anything. He doesn't post grades, and our first test wasn't graded until after we took the second one. You have to go home and teach yourself, yet coming to class is mandatory. If you're late, you can't ask questions, yet he's always late.

Mr. Gaunt expects you to understand the material before he teaches it and if you don't, he gets frustrated with you. His lectures are boring and hard to understand. During one class he made a student leave for asking too many questions and then he proceeded to talk poorly about the student after they left the room.

Im a A student, never got a grade other then that on any course. This teacher is the absolute worst, lectures are unclear, and will not answer questions during lectures. RAMBLES ON AND ON AND ON switching topics 5/6 times in any given lecture. I studied for days before tests and barely passed. Tough grader on top of everything, and tons of quizzes.

Refused to explain to me what I did wrong after a test. The fact that he makes his living teaching but does not like to do it is the worst thing conducive to a learning environment in m opinion.

I will not recommend this instructor to my dog. He is a drama queen yes I said queen. He gave to much work on quizzes about 30-50 problems. He is not a good intructory

This guy is kind of annoying sometimes, but it gets amusing. He does a pretty decent job at explaining the material. Willing to review during office hours. He's not that bad of a professor.

He's not helpful at all. I asked him for help after class he made sure to let me know he was hungry and was trying to leave. He kept saying just read the book. TF?! Its like I asked him for help and he just dismissed it. I would never recommend him EVER!!! Run for your life I tell you. (INCONSIDERATE & RUDE)

I took this class on-line and Professor Gaunt gave good input when doing the on-line assignments and quizzes in pop up windows which I found very helpful. I would recommend taking this class.

This online College Algebra test was difficult. I reached out for help and was told to review videos and other online resources (I had already). I had to resort to Algebra tutoring DVDs and library books to make it through. Tests were not graded timely (3 weeks for the 1st, 2 weeks for the 2nd). There are better algebramath teachers at TCC.

He gives you a schedule of the best way to complete the course, backs up the textbook with videos both his own and those of another professor. He answers emails IF you follow his subject line criteria. email and office hours he has been reliable. Let's you know in advance if he's unavailable. Drops lowest test grade.

Comment:

Mr. Gaunt is a good calc professor. He teaches the material well but you must study outside of class and do all of the WebAssign assignments in order to do well in his class. The format is 4 tests and a final along with homework assignments and pop quizzes. Study for his class everyday so you can get a good grade. :)
