I came to St. Pete College from a different college to take this course because of things I read about Rutledge and the course. It was a great decision. Lots of assignments, but nothing very difficult. Just make sure you keep up and try to work ahead. The best part was NO TESTS!!! This was my last requirement for AA. Thanks Prof. Rutledge!

Comment:

What better professor to have than the one that wrote the book?! I was not intested in taking another traditional math class. This has been a great experience. You learn alot without the frustrations of long drawn out math problems. Without a doubt, take this class with him. Liberal arts II is better than one!

Took online class. VERY EASY!! Self paced class. You can work ahead of schedule. If you miss an assignment you have 2 weeks to turn it in for reduced credit. A LOT of extra credit offered. No mid-term or final exam! A couple of easy projects instead of exams... but they are REALLY easy! He wrote the text book for his clas, very easy to work with.

Took online, HUGE workload, but because there's so much you can afford to skip a couple assignments. He has an original and quirky way of teaching which makes it more fun and not as "math-ish". He knows what he's talking about which helps. No tests or exams, just projects and assignments. Funny and nice guy. Likes to use smiley emoticons. :)

This professor is patient, thorough, kind, understanding, etc. He has an excellent teaching style and you do projects not tests. If you do all of the work, EASY A... extra credit available every single week. HIGHLY recommend!

Very good teacher. Online class was organized and easy to understand (if you have ever had poorly organized online class you know what I mean). Some of the chapters were challenging and there were a couple chapters in the book about 3/4 through that poorly written and hard to understand. All in all it was a good class and great teacher

Very good teacher. You may have to look in the textbook for clarity in his class. His tests are not given to try to trick/fail you. He gives you take-home/group projects that are challenging but interesting. I got an A but it was becuase I did the homework and studied. Can't slack in this class.

OMG, plz take him,,, he is awesome teacher. I just took Calculus II with him in spring, I got a B on first exam, got D on second exam, and got an A on the final, and my grade ended with A,,, Calculus II is very hard for math, but he makes is easy. And he will bring interesting concepts,,,, take him,,, =D

Professor Rutledge was an excellent professor that taught Calculus III really well. He was one of the best math teachers that I ever had. He explained everything so clearly and makes the material easy to understand. Plus, he's a VERY nice guy. Tests are very easy as they are similar to the homework problems on the review sheet.

I had to take this class twice...NOT the instructors fault, but my life got in the way. I thought it was a GREAT class to take. The book work was fun and interesting. Easy class, but need to stay on course. I fell behind, but did not find it too hard to catch up even in express session.

Liked the class and recommend. It can be easy to get behind, so make sure you stay up to date on your assignments! Very nice prof and wrote the text used. He's very helpful and uses angel effectivly.

Mr. Rutledge is a great prof. He is clear with examples, and will help if you get stuck. If you pay attn in class, you're not likely to get stuck anyway. He has a tendency to not go all the way through an example after he's done a couple, but that's ok. HW gets counted for your tests, and the final replaces lowest test score. Nice man, good class.

You MUST stay caught up or you will fail. Stay caught up & it is the best math class you will EVER take. Mr. Rutledge LOVES this course, wrote the text & will help you excel if you commit to doing the assignments, which take a minimum of 6 hours/week to do. This is math you will use for the rest of your life! Great teacher! Truly one of the best!

Online course with a very easy level of accomplishing an "A." However, the required text and written assignments are overwhelming. LOTS LOTS LOTS of busy work!!!!! Teacher uses Angel for communication effectively.

Wonderful proffessor . Loves his job he has a very positive attitude and is willing to work with students to help in every way he can. Best math teacher I have ever had took him for Calc II and Calc III would highly recommend him to anyone
