Comment:

Mr. Schifano was the most easy going teacher I had. Be prepared to use the Textbook every class and for every quiz/test. He had easy quizzes every class best way to boost your grade up. His test are pretty hard but study right out of the text book and pay attention in class and you'll be okay. I got a 100 in the class because of him. The best.

Definitely an easy A if you just do the homework. You only get credit for quizzes and tests, but he reviews all the homework he gives in class. Everything is open book. Very nice guy & will definitely try to help if you have questions, but If you're interested in stat, you might want to take someone else - his explanations aren't very clear.

Prof. Schifano is a very professional and compassionate teacher. That being said, Accounting class with him was AWESOME! I learned a lot, FIN 215 on the other hand, i am not so sure... this is the 4th week of class and i am skeptical of whether i will be able to grasp it at all.....

I had taken accounting 2 times before and failed miserably. Professor Schifano may not be the best lecturer in the world, but he tries to make it as comprehensible as possible. All of his tests are open book and open notes so this helps a lot. Go to class, you get participation points for it, and do your homework and you should do just fine.

Stay away from this chump. Unfortunately he is not a real professor. NVCC supplements their real professors with people who work in a specific field. He knows the subject material very well, but has no clue on how to teach it. I found it interesting that the wanna be teacher didn't give the class a test until week 9, after drop date w/out GP!!!

Comment:

Adjunct professor that is a professional accountant. His main goal is for you to be able to understand and work through the problems. All tests are open book. ACC maj may want more of a challenge, but is perfect for the casual ACC learner.
