i didnt look forward to coming to his class, but he is a funny old man and made class interesting and went by quick. no homework, 3 in class essays and 3 out of class essays and 1 final. not a boring class and im not a great of an essay writer so i consider his grading fair.

as a person he is a pretty cool guy and he doesn't assign any homework at all, really. it's just that his essay prompts are just absolutely ridiculous sometimes. they ask way too many questions and you find yourself trying to compare 4 different characters from 4 different stories and plays. his class definitely made me despise reading plays.

Although he is one of the hardest graders of essay that I have ever had, I learned so much from him. Not only do you become a better writer, he teachers it in a simple clear manner that anyone can understand if they try. I recommend him for any of his classes, he always keeps the classes interesting!

Super fun teacher!! always keeps class interesting & loves to crack jokes but also pretty serious about the work so be sure to be paying attention. He's also a stickler about attendance &ALWAYS have the books. Highly recommend any of his classes!

Proffesor Margulis is a horrible teacher. The highest grade he gives is a b so to him most students are D or C students. He grades way to hard probably because he's so old and thats the way he was graded 60 years ago.

Cutest funniest little old man ever. I loved him as a professor. He does have a different way that he likes the essays written which is a bit difficult to grasp at first, but once you get the hang of it the class is pretty basic. Not a lot of homework, a computer lab session every week... I highly recommend this professor.

I took him during the summer and was very happy with the class. He's a very funny man who made me laugh pretty much everyday. Don't underestimate him though. He's an intense grader (he kicked half of the class out because their writing wasn't up to snuff). No one received an A on any paper in my class and I worked really hard on all of them.

Really funny and nice guy. No homework assignments other than a few essays. Don't underestimate though, the essays are graded very strictly. I worked really hard on them and never got higher than a B. Overall fun class.

Such a great Teacher! He's super funny and you learn a lot about writing. Never any stupid busywork homework, only 6 essays, 3 in class 3 out. Turn in your essay early so he can read them and send them back before they're due. You learn a lot about JEPET too. Overall great teacher. He makes you want to come to class.

I took him during the summer course, so everything was seriously dumbed down/abridged. I didn't learn much about writing but I learned a good amount about the jepet. I got a B+ in the class after I received B's on all three of my papers. I don't know what it would take to get an A, he never told us and no one received anything higher than a B.

GREAT teacher, fun and interesting old guy. Not only is his personality awesome, but his teaching REALLY helps. As long as u don't slack off, he will grade u well. My writing got way better and he's always more than willing to help with your writing. As long as u do well on the essays, u will do well in the class

This old guy is interesting. Hes funny and goofy but he is pretty intelligent. Hell teach you lots of good stuff in english and help you out. Only problem is you cant miss more than 6 days or your dropped but its cool. Just do what he wants you do in your essays and your cool. NO READING EITHER. sweet

He was such a fun teacher, great for Freshmen! Sometimes he is random, but it's pretty fun. We don't read too much, and we wrote six papers in the semester. He has very helpful corrections. Just use what he says in class in your papers (cummulative, -ing verbs, etc.)
