Great fellow, probably one of the most interesting professors you'll have while in school. Salt and pepper hair exemplifies how adept he is at his profession. Ask him to tell you stories about his previous life escapades. Also, don't sit directly next to him as he will knock your stuff off the desk occasionally. 1-2 students away is optimal seating

Harvey was by far the best professor I've had and probably the best I will have. He's a tough grader, but is 100% invested in making sure you leave his class better than you entered it. He's charming, twisted, witty, & absolutely delicious, & his lectures & classes are interesting and engaging. He loves students who participate so speak up!

Read the books and talk some in class and you'll be fine. Dr. Harvey is really funny and a great professor. His class is really fun and I learned a lot. Have fun with him and don't be afraid to push the limits in his class on what is appropriate.

Dr. Harvey is pretty great. His discussion are lots of fun. I looked forward to his class every week as there was always a good story to tell people afterwards. He is very crazy and that is what makes him awesome.

Dr. Harvey is by far the best professor I've had. He has the type of personality that can pull you into any discussion. Having conversations with him is so fun just because he has an aura of knowledge around him. He's quite a harsh grader but that is what you need to keep improving. I would definitely take his class again.

A very fun professor for discussion. He is VERY easy to distract with side conversation. Fairly intimidating and not very helpful during his office hours. Very slow at grading. Participate and you should get an A.

Great professor who knows his stuff. Inspiring and enthusiastic with fun lectures. As long as you listen to what he says and take notes on his ideas and approaches to concepts, you'll ace your oral final --no problem. You don't have to read all the books on the list to get an A, but it is helpful. LEARN TO TAILOR YOUR ESSAYS IN HUMAN SIT!

Hands down he has been my favorite professor at the University. He has enthusiasm, he has passion, and is wicked smart. If you can be in his class, I suggest you do! If you work hard he will bump your grade up if it's on the border of a B to A.

Apart from his really twisted sense of humor and many classroom antics, he's BRILLIANT, simply brilliant! His best quality is that he's not biased toward any particular idea and will have something to contribute toward every student's unique interpretation of the text. Does not hand over an A easily but hardwork never goes unpaid in his class.

Dr. Harvey is a wonderful professor. He expects you to show up to class and work hard. He won't just hand you an A, but he is more than willing to help you when you need it. He has a very wild sense of humor, morbid and twisted at times. He is a bit crude, but he really does care about his students. PS. He has chili peppers for a reason!

BRILLIANT. He jumped between ideas too fast for me to participate much in discussion. He grades extremely hard. Makes you think. But your final grade is what he thinks you earned. I should have earned a C or B- if by grades, but got an A because I always tried and he could tell. Awesome professor

Dr. Harvey is amazing! He really made me, a normally quiet person, want to join in discussion. Plus, he genuinely cares about your sucess and wants to stay friends even after the class is over. He's pretty picky about papers though & doesn't give solid A's much,He has a pretty high standard. Still, I'd definitley recommend! Makes human sit fun :)

Dr. Harvey has interesting lectures. You often may not agree with him in discussion and might think he has a crude way of thinking. He is still a good professor, though. Watch out for your first papers, he will usually give everyone a C, but will give you opportunities for a rewrite. Make sure he gets to know you if you want a good grade.
