The prof was very friendly and approachable however her slides and lectures were extremely boring and dull. Hard to follow her train of thought, but in the end the course was easy.

Although Professor Davidson is a nice and accomodating, her accent is very difficult to understand. Personally, I had to sit up front because her accent was so hard to pick up! Most of the time she reads off her slides and is very monotone. Not a very engaging professor in general! Overall, not a good way to start the first term!

Just stay away from this class if you can. I was actually very interested in taking this class, but I couldn't have been more wrong. It seems like half of the lectures were guest lectures, which you barely learn anything from. LONG (50+ pages) readings per wk. Tutorials are very useless. Davidson is very boring and monotone, but seem nice.

Comment:
Lectures are frustratingly boring, with poor quality slides, and Davidson is hard to understand through her accent and her annoying habit of mumbling. You MUST do your (obnoxiously long) readings or you will do badly, and tutorials are boring but mandatory. However, she is a nice lady, and is very approachable should you need help or a discussion.

Lectures not engaging, just reads from her ppt. Accent hard to understand. Tries to have discussions, but asks stupid questions. Though it is an easy course, small workload. Tutorials also very boring.

Comment:
Course content was interesting and easy to understand. However, lectures were frustratingly lacking in content. At least 10 minutes of each lecture was spent on the prof recollecting her train of thought. Lectures consisted of reading straight from the ppt. Nice prof, but lectures were very disappointing.

Prof. Davidson was funny, and VERY accommodating. I rescheduled my final exam and she was more than okay with it. The subjects were very interesting and she brought in a great guest lecturer, and encouraged a lot of discussion. Really great class because of a passionate and interesting instructor.

so the course itself was a little dull, but the prof is excited about what she's teaching and provides personal examples to further prove her point. a friendly prof, reasonable workload, no major complaints

What are you talking about? Why would I care? Why don't you understand that people have a life beyond doing stupid feminist readings and writing useless assignments? Overly difficult course with useless, cryptic and illogical material. An insult to an otherwise fantastic department of geography.

Accent is a bit strong. Very helpful with providing sources for research required for essays. Gives a wide-array of topics dicussed in this course, but lack of unity between all of them. Uses many different visual, auditory, and verbal illustrations.
