Super sweet Professor. Took her for a summer course. We had two essays, 4 blogs, and of course in class writing and make sure to participate. We read 4 books throughout the semester, overall she was just super great and easy going.

Really super professor with a deep knowledge of various critical theories. Excellent professional demeanor and ability to communicate content clearly and classroom pedagogical expectations. Enjoyed her class immensely! Best class Ive taken at QC by far.

The professor gives great feedback on your papers (3 papers throughout the semester). The class can be boring, least in my opinion during the shakespeare material. She has blog assignments which aren't that bad. You'll do well as long as you put effort in all the assignments, hw, papers and most of all PARTICIPATE in class.

I took her in the summer and it was an easy A. I'm not an A student, but didn't have any trouble in her class. Most of the books you need to read, you can check out the dvd from the school library and that will def help out. A little boring, but it wasn't too bad since it was a summer class.

Speechless...The class is too boring and if you don't like to read the books then don't take her. She makes us to read those old English and boring books. Very demanding on the amount of words and pages, can not be less than what she required. She's not easy as I thought!

She's very knowledgable and I like how she encourages group discussion. I love discussing AND hearing other people's interpretation of a novel. The writing intensive part wasnt too bad bc she had us write up a blog every week following certain readings.Not as bad as i thought it would be! Warning; her voice is like a lullaby!

Yes she's very soft-spoken, but her classes are very student-led. So it's fun to discuss the topics, poems, and books at hand. Lots of group discussions. Come to class, participate, do the blogs/papers and you get your A. Shes great.

A lot of reading but gets rid of your reading lit. requirement. Two tests a midterm and a final. Midterm was long answers and took forever. Information was straight forward and all books have spark notes. Final was a take home due to the classes issues regarding the lengthiness of the midterm. Professor was nice but somewhat boring. Would recommend

she is really nice soft spoken and really understanding. participate and do the readings and u will defiantly get a A. come to class you will enjoy the class discussions if u have done the readings if not then she will know cuz you will have nothing to say.

She was sick during the summer session, but the talks were somewhat interesting, and it was mostly a student led forum. It sometimes dragged on a bit, but not bad overall. It was a summer session, so there were not too many writing assignments, but again, it was summer.

Took her for Immigrant Experiences, it was her first time teaching the course. She is very heavy on attendance, and participation. One student led discussion in group form, and a midterm and final, definitions and an essay. She is very understanding and nice overall, and appreciates any contribution to her class. Must read all novels.

Extremely knowledgeable, extremely well-spoken (with a charming accent). She's not the kind of professor who will accept any answer and wants you to understand the materials. You should be somewhat interested in lit. criticism b/c her approach is pretty traditional. A very good teacher, very kind and wants students to do well.

I got so scared the first day of class, and tried to find a class to replace hers. She scares kids I think with talk of doing a group student lead discussion, where she lets that group talk about a book for like 10 mins. It's really easy. Midterm paper and final paper. She doesn't give quizzes, even she said she would.Easier than she looks.
