Funny lectures that still manage to be informative. This is easily the most enjoyable way to learn, I recommend her highly. Be warned: an 80% is simple. An A is not.

She's definetly passionate about greek mythology! I thought this class would have been more interesting then it was, but I was mistaken. It's a little boring. Doesn't take much effort to make an A, just go to class, take notes, review them, read over the chapters and you'll be fine or you can buy the phi notes and get a B on the tests.

Definitely one of the BEST professors and classes I have ever taken. You can just tell Hartigan knows EVERYTHING there is to know about the subject and is enthusiastic in teaching it. She lightens the sometimes boring class up with a good sense of humor as well. The tests are pretty easy if you study. Regrettably, she is retiring. To Telo!

I absolutely love her! She is the sweetest old lady ever and shes such an amazing teacher! Review the stuff before the test and get an A, especially if you like greek myth. Its moderately easy and very fair. Spring is her last semester before retiring so jump on it! Ill be extremely sad to see her go because shes amazing and so cute!

Fun, interesting class. You have to read out of your textbook maybe once in the whole course. Just fill in the notes she gives you, go to class and you'll get a good grade

Dr. Hartigan loves Greek drama, and she wants you to, too! Sometimes I think she was tired or frustrated with my class- it showed. But when she was still excited, she's great!

Good teacher, pay attention and go to class. She will notice if you aren't there. Study for the tests, and actually read the plays.

She is decrepit but she knows what she is doing. You need to go to class only for the slides. The phi notes basically tell you everything. SHe tries to make a funny every once in a while and is only successful a few times. Not a bad class.

The class at first seemed like it would be interesting, but after about a week it got boring. An old lady talking the whole class with no enthusiasm for the topic at 8 in the morning can kill you. It was fun to look around and see how many students were sleeping, when i was awake. The different forms of the tests range in difficulty. I regreted it.

This class really teaches you everything you need to know about mythology. It gives you an in depth knowledge of the myths, gods, and cults based off of them. Plus, if you listen closely, she is crazy funny.

Comment:
The class, in itself, is almost pointless as the notes are all online. Still go, however, because the lecture somtimes can be interesting, and there are small details that are on the test. She also has an obsession with slides, which are also on the test and NOT online. She is funny sometimes, but...mainly boring.

Dr. Hartigan is passionate about Greek studies and gives in-depth lectures uncommon in other undergraduate Classics courses at UF. For hard-working students these classes aasy to ace.

How can people complain about this prof? She gives you her notes! That in itself is awesome. Everything on her tests comes straight from her notes except a video or two, and slides that are so obvious, and her lectures are interesting. She's funny, and I honestly enjoyed the class.

Loved this class. DON'T take it if your not into classics or greek myth, but if you are she is awesome. She's funny, smart and interetsing. Tests were very simple if you study, and all college students should be expected to do that.

makes an interesting topic boring, but very nice professor. she gives 3 different versions of the test which is unfair and doesn't curve, but with a little effort, its easy to do well.
