Not a good professor the lectures are long and sometimes difficult to understand. Quizzes and test are extremely hard and her office hours are not exactly helpful.

Dr Silvester has been my favorite professor at Siena College to date. Her lectures are always interesting and she uses real-world examples to help students. She gives students opportunities to learn and succeed while still being honest in how difficult her class is.

She is fantastic, a great teacher, gives out really good note packets which makes learning in class a lot easier. I went to her instead of my advisor for advice because she is just great and i connected with her a lot more. She's funny. As an accounting major at Siena, you are missing out if you don't a take class with her.

Silvester was and still is my favorite professor I've ever had the chance to take a Siena. She is amazing!!! The way she taught Cost Accounting really made you understand all of the problems and how to do them. Quizzes every week, really easy if you take the time to study for them. Study, participate, and do the work, you'll get an A.

She's a great professor! She loves cost accounting and it shows in her teaching. It's not the easiest class, however. Weekly quizzes ensure that you understand what's going on in class. At first I thought she was gonna be mean but that assumption changed very quickly. Highly recommend.

Greatest teacher ever! This was a tough class but all of her charts and examples really work. Gives you lots of practice problems for exams. Attend class, participate, and you'll do fine. She is extremely helpful, and just really awesome at teaching cost accounting!!!

Literally the BEST professor I have ever taken or will at Siena College. She is a little intimitating at first but she will make you understand everything. Hated managerial but LOVE cost because of her!! Gives you soo many practice exams before the actual exam its impossible not to be prepared! If you don't like her at first don't worry, you will!

Great teacher...knows what she's doing and is willing to do anything so that you do, too. Tough class to begin with, but if you have to take cost, it's relieving to have Dr. Silvester. Weekly quizzes (but actually help you) and drops lowest 2.

Very, very good. If you want to learn, take Dr. Silvester. She is so nice and down to earth unlike some other PhD professors I've had. Always available for extra help. Weekly quizzes actually helped you keep up. Highly recommended!

Prof. Silvester is a great teacher!I actualled learned alot.She makes sure you understand what is going on and goes over the concepts before the weekly quizzes. Stay on top of what is going on and you will be fine! Definitely recommend taking her!

Dr. Silvester is a great professor. She made everything easy to understand. Quizzes once a week really help to reinforce the material. 2 exams and the final were tough, but still very fair. You also have a final project, which wasn't bad. I feel like I learned so much from this class, and would recommend taking any class you can with Dr. Silvester!

without a doubt the best acct. professor at siena. does something that most acct. teachers forget....make the material useful and easier to understand!! most students can't just sit down and understand accounting by reading a text book and Dr. Silvester understands that, so she teaches the material in ways students can actually understand

Hands down, best accounting professor at Siena. Extremely approachable at all times. Tests and quizzes were fair regarding the material. One of the nicest people I've met at Siena. Her passion for accounting is incredible and she tries to get her students to share her passion, which I really enjoyed.

Awesome professor!! I have learned so much from Dr. Silvester because of her teaching method. She uses concepts and examples that help us understand things better. It has helped me tie in other things that weren't so clear in accounting from other classes. Super nice lady, always willing to help, and makes learning fun, even at the college level.
