Ms. Chavis is a very fair teacher who tries hard to make sure her students understand the concepts - and succeeds! She is also so kind, she even let me borrow a textbook when I had trouble purchasing one at the beginning of the class. Best of all, she realizes that her students have work and families too! She does make you work, though!

The WORST teacher I have ever had! I'm a straight A student and ended up with a LOW B. I took her on-line; she told me- quote,"I don't really read your e-mails, I just skim over them....unless you ask a specific question." REALLY?! How do you know I'm asking a "specific question" if you only skim over it? PLEASE HEED MY WARNING AND DON'T TAKE HER!

She is an amazing educator. She is very passionate about what she teaches and this will make you learn. She is extremely helpful and wants her students to succeed. Loved her class, will definitely take her again!

This is the most difficult class I have ever had...and rightfully so. This class is meant to weed out the students who are not willing to give 100%. Chavis' teaching skills are great and I am taking her again for 169.

Yes, she is a hard teacher. However, she knows exactly what she is talking about. I have never studied so hard in my entire life for a single class. And to be fair, she does tell you on the first day of class that it will be the most difficult class you have ever taken, that you will need to be prepared to study all day everyday. This woman is a crazy lady. She is firm and fair. Shie is a harsh teacher but tries to help you out as much as possible. Do not get her for BIO. If you get her for BIO 168 be prepared for the hardest course of your life. study, study, study.

Excellent teacher. Always willing to answer questions. Answers emails promptly. Tough, but fair. She will mark an answer wrong if you even misspell one letter, so keep checking to make sure. This is the most challenging class I have ever taken.
