Comment:

This is the first online class that I actually wish I would have taken on campus just so I could meet Dr. Rowell and hear her lectures in person. She is fantastic. Highly recommend. Great feedback, prompt grader, helpful, caring, knowledgeable. A real gem! She makes the info easy to learn and very interesting! Hope to have her again in the future!

Comment:

She is one of the best professors I have had. She is passionate about her subject and the success of her students. She grades quickly with helpful feedback. Dr. R wants students to succeed and learn the topics. The group project seemed daunting online but she is very helpful and walks you through the process. Take her class if you can!

Kathy's passion for what she does is apparent through her teaching. She's incredibly knowledgeable and cares about every one of her students. One of the best professors I've ever had. She has a 5 star rating for a reason. If you have the option to take a class she teaches, you should.

She was a great professor. I thought I would be so bored taking anthropology because it's not on my favorite list of subjects but it was a great experience. Learned a lot that I never thought I would. If you follow instructions, give your best on discussion boards you'll do fine. You have to have the textbook FYI.

Kathy is a great professor and you learn so much from her lectures. There is a lot of group and partner activities but they are fairly easy and it is not hard to pass and she makes sure of it. I would for sure take her again, she is an amazing professor. Outside of class there is not a ton of work and if you miss anything just talk with her.

I learned so much while I was taking her class, academically and personally. She works amazingly with foreign students. Shes such a nice person, Im glad I took her class and got to meet the wonderful person she is.

Her class changed me. She really knows how to open your eyes, teaches more than just academics. A wonderful soul, whom Im blessed to have met. Thank you so much for how much you care. Loved her class and adore her!!!

One of the best classes and best professors I have ever had! This was one of my honors classes, and it was a class I enjoyed so much because it persuaded me to change my major. It was just a very inspirational course and I would be so glad to take another course if she was giving the lectures! Truly awesome and I respect the work she has done.

Kathy is one of the best professor in Sinclair. Listen to the stories of her beautiful soul. You wouldn't miss any class because they attract yourself to come instead of force you to attend. Every class has surprises. In her class, False is not an option, don't worry about false! Follow her to start the unique journey in sociology!

She is a amazing professor who cares about her field. She tells you about work she has done and tell stories. In class there is a lot of group activities so be prepared to work in a group. There is homework and reading each week but nothing really hard just takes time. The quizzes and tests are online and if you read and come to class she prepares you for them. Overall her class is not hard but it is work. You need to come to class and do your homework to get a good grade. She does give opportunities to make up points but really you need to be there. I love her as a teacher and I am signing up for another of her classes for next semester. Take her class you won't regret it. She is a wonderful teacher who cares and is interesting.

I took this class online and it was great! There are 4 tests, a discussion every week and 3 writing activities. They are really easy and she is more than willing to help you and work with you. This is an easy class to take online, and I can only assume a great class to take in person.

Super nice! Cares about the quality of what you turn in and does give quite a few assignments, but all within reason. Cares about students, and I've had more than one class with her, very eye-opening in all classes. Hands down the best professor I've had so far!

Dr. Rowell is easily one of the most inspirational people I've encountered, and that is reflected in her teaching style. She is passionate about her work, and in turn you become passionate about the work. She is truly incredible and willing to not only work with you, but take you under her wing if you need. Will take any class I can from her.

My favorite professor this year. Class was always interesting and low stress. VERY understanding teacher and is willing to work with your schedule. Projects are fun/ interesting. If you follow all criteria for the projects, they're a pretty easy A. Online tests/quizzes are hard and you really have to READ the book, but they aren't worth many points

Genuinely nice teacher. Very honest, open-minded and opinionated. Encourages diversity and shuts down disrespect QUICK. Really made me interested in anthropology; I also took this class for honors, piece of cake. Did a lot of fun activities in class; even went on a field trip to a little free-trade shop in Dayton. AWESOME teacher! Loved her.
