I really enjoyed Keith's class it was really fun. I really enjoyed the writing projects and the lecture material outside of the book work. The book was fantastic as well. Overall great class to fulfill your physical science requirement.

Comment:

I took his online Oceanography class and loved it. The overall workload is not so bad its just a writing assignment based on his lecture videos which are about 4 to 7 minutes long so not so bad. Then you answer some questions and take a quiz its also OPEN NOTE!! Definitely recommend I loved it and he made it fun and easy to learn.

I took Geology 101 online. I wasnt excited about the class at first, but really enjoyed it. I learned a lot of things I didnt know I had an interest in. Tests and writing assignments are easy. He gives 30 points of extra credit. Overall, an easy A if you do the assignments.

Prof. Meldahl is very knowledgable on his subject. He is super understandable and caring, he wants you to pass! His online class consisted of 1 assignment and 1 quiz every week, final exam that was all essay based questions and some extra credit. If you stay on track and actually try you will pass with an A or B.

Fantastic professor. I had him for lab, and everything in this lab is extremely clear. Show up to his labs, complete the weekly work, and you'll have an A. His criteria is so clear and the work is very manageable. His two tests are both open lab-book. As a person, Keith is very cool, relaxed, and polite. Very enjoyable class.

He is absolutely amazing. I took his online Oceanography class and learned SO much. He has a great sense of humor, grades very fairly, and teaches in ways that you can easily understand AND have fun in the process. I loved his class so much that I actually just enrolled in one of his geology classes just for the fun of it.

I took him for my OCEA lab and he really makes it easy to understand the labs. His tests are open note so it's important that you attend labs so you have all the answers. The field trips are a lot of fun and there's always humor in his lectures. His dad jokes are the best! if you need to do a lab I definitely recommend this professor.

Just finished my final exam in this course! The online class consists of usually two assignments that consist of a quiz and writing assignment that involves watching short but informative videos to answer the questions. Science is not a subject that I am fond of, but the readings and videos that he provides gave me a lot of interest in the subject!

Every class is a group project to complete a chapter of worksheets in a binder. Each class is 5% of your grade. Hardly any homework, open worksheet/homework tests. Not a fan of the basically required attendance to pass, other than that great class, really enjoyable field trips, and good teacher. Lectures were okay, a bit patronizing.

This class was easy for being geology. I actually had no interest in this subject but needed a GE requirement. Keith is seriously the coolest teacher. Super chill and provides a lot of extra credit. He is very straight forward. If you do your work and keep up, easy A. Highly recommend for others who are hesitant about geology.

I loved taking Keith's online lecture and in class lab. He is very passionate about the earth and it clearly shows. Read, take the quizzes and do the assignments. He made the appreciate the earth a little more. GLOBAL WARMING IS REAL! EROSION!

Comment:

Professor Meldahl is an awesome choice for a science class & professor. There's basically a chapter test, multiple choice, & an essay due every week. He provides extra credit, take it. It makes the final easier in the end. No midterm. I'd take him again for any science class for sure!

Every week you have to complete two assignments. One is usually a writing assignment and the other is a test . If you read the chapters and follow the instructions of the assignment you will do well. He offers some extra credit options and if you do well enough through the semester you may even opt to skip the final.

I've taken many online courses and this is far and above the best online class I've EVER taken! Dr. Meldahl was responsive with questions, graded very quickly, and gave excellent feedback, and assignments were interesting and fun. I learned a lot in this course & loved the videos! Thank you Dr. Meldahl. I'd highly recommend your class to others!

I've taken many online classes in the past and Mr. Meldahl is by far the BEST online instructor I've ever had. His online lectures were easy to understand, he incorporated a lot of great examples with dorky humor and it made the class lectures enjoyable. I actually learned a lot and I would highly recommend him-there aren't many out there like him!

I took Keiths online ocean101 and his lab. What an awesome teacher! He is so fun and gives great feedback. He is always willing to help you if you have an questions or concerns. His field trips for the lab are pretty fun too! I'm so glad I was lucky enough to have him as my teacher. Take his classes!
