Professor Rogerson has a fabulous reputation, and for good reason. He cares about you, after really taking effort to get to know you. He wants you to do well, in class, out of it, and after you finish your class. I have kept in touch with him for 2 years and hope to continue to because he is sooo caring

I had Professor Rogerson as my thesis advisor and he was amazing. He was always responsive and willing to read over my work. He was critical, but also very encouraging and pushed me to think further about my topic. Get to know him!!!

I would not recommend taking this class until you have a significant amount of journalism experience under your belt. If not, there is a steep learning curve and he is not willing to accommodate you much. Also grading is very subjective so be careful!

This man is one of the kindest people I've had the pleasure of spending time with while at Duke. He is a professor who truly, truly cares. A complete people person, optimistic, energetic, and a traveler with interesting stories and a good sense of humor. What a genuinely good teacher, and more importantly, a genuinely good person.

Dr. Rogerson is an extremely helpful professor and mentor. He is energetic, intelligent, and very kind to his students. He advised me for my undergraduate thesis in Public Policy Studies and I had a very fulfilling academic and research experience working with him. He is one of those professors whom you are thankful toward after taking his class.

Ken Roberson is smart, energetic and cares about his class. He is the kind of professor you come to Duke to meet. FLUNCH him! Weekly quizzes are not too bad, an he gives plenty of group assignments to boost your grade. By the end of the semester you will be a great memo writer and thankful for it. Put in the work and this will be an amazing class

Loved Rogerson. Super energetic and makes you want to get involved in politics in some way. That being said, he does expect a lot, but you'll find that the readings and memos are doable and you'll do well if you actually try.
