Dr. Tedesco is one of the kindest, most passionate professors I have had so far in college. She truly cares about her students and is very understanding/patient. She really wants you to succeed and enjoy class. Participate in the class discussions! Quizzes and weekly journals are both straightforward and easy if you do the reading.

She cant communicate very well. Any lectures she gives are very disorganized and shes always scatterbrained. Tough grader journals and quizzes. The material is dry, boring and doesnt pair well with long reading sections. Also, really anti-tech, she will tell you to leave class or not show up if you have your tech out. If you can 100% avoid her!

Don't take Tedesco, just don't do it. For any course. She's a very nice lady as a person but as a professor she really struggles. You have 3 projects, the first two you have ample time, last one you get 3 weeks (from nothing to full paper). Procrastinator. She's very scatter brained and lectures every class when it's a WI course. Take a dif prof.

I wish I'd taken this course online. She doesn't lecture much and most of class time is just spent in discussion groups. I would have liked the book assignments to have been more focused toward elementary-aged students instead of middle-school ones. The class is an easy A if you read the books b/c the journal entries + quizzes are based on them.

There are a lot of books to read which are enjoyable for the most part but something I did not enjoy was how Tedesco in some ways ruined the child aspect of the novels. She pointed out too many things to make the novels negative. Being that I am aspiring to become a teacher myself, I had a hard time listening to the negative remarks 24/7.

I wouldn't recommend this class. It isn't really hard, but very unnecessarily time consuming. She doesn't give you enough time to do any assignments then takes her time grading them. She is very passive aggressive and not caring at all, not sure where those ratings come from. For your sanity, just choose another professor!

Dr. Tedesco is a very caring woman, who genuinely wants to see her students succeed. She LOVES people who participate in class discussion. With that being said, I don't recommend taking this class if you're taking any other Lit classes that semester. LOTS of reading. 200-500+ page books every week. This class is a LOT of reading and writing.

She grades like she has nothing else to do with her life (harsh), but she's obviously very passionate about children's literature.

Professor Tedesco gave the best feedback out of any professor I have ever had. She answered emails quickly and made everything she expected clear as day. You write one discussion board post each week and occasionally have exams on the books you were assigned. She's a pretty easy grader and a very sweet woman! Would take again!

Read the books & look at the lectures & you're good to go. 1 discussion board per week for 2 weeks, then a test the 3rd week. Make sure to use book quotes for max. credit. Read 1 book per week, but the books required were great. Great, friendly, fair and helpful professor. I'd love to take another class with her!

Dr. Tedesco was amazing! She's sweet and really cares about her students. I had her for my Freshman English class (which she doesn't typically teach) but she made it fun and we had some really nice class discussions.

pretty scatterbrained and a little awkward but she is such a sweet lady. she seems to over explain the assignments which makes it confusing but she is so nice and is big into participation and it effects your grade. only grades are papers and some quizzes on the readings but she is a very lenient grader on the quizzes. take her !

She's super helpful, always willing to go over assignments with you and give feedback before turning in. Homework almost every night; not really difficult stuff though. Usually pushes deadlines for big papers back a day or two. Overall if you can take her for english 11oo do it!

I absolutely LOVED her! Best english teacher I have ever had. Take her if you can! She looks at your papers if you go to her office hours and I did that all the time and got A's on all of my papers. If you have questions, ask them because she loves when students show an interest in her class. Raise your hand & participate in class if you want an A!

Dr. Tedesco is the best professor I've had. She is so helpful and will go out of her way for her students. She is really scatterbrained and may not get things graded when she says she will. But she is an awesome person and will always keep you laughing.

Dr. Tedesco is a very tough grader, grammar in your papers must be on point. Don't expect to give her BS and get a good grade! She's more than willing to look at assignments before you submit them and give feedback. Take advantage of that! She gives excellent feedback and wants you to do well.
