People are really hard on him but he's actually a good guy. Very easy prof, very fair to his students. Focuses mainly on opinions. Sometimes he's unclear but he's pretty understanding about most things. Does his best to help his students as much as he can!

This class is such a waste of time!!!! The powerpoint presentations are boring and nobody ever reads the stories/peoms that are being presented anyway. The writing labs are worthless b/c he only looks at your paper for 30 seconds. Extremely easy class but is VERY boring and a waste of time!!!

oh my god people. Anyone who said he is a good professor needs to kill themselves. O'Brien is an easy A, loves to hear about crackpot personal stories instead of solid english (i.e. BULL) and makes you present stuff that most people do not even read. He is a horrible professor, but an easy A if you are an engineer and need a blow off class

O'Brien is a good teacher who knows his stuff, is organized and structured, which I liked. He always lets you know when things are due, has a nice dry wit and is helpful. Both classes weren't very hard and challanged me to do my best. Good Guy.
