Comment:

Yang was the most difficult to understand professor I have ever taken. I retained next to nothing from his lectures because trying to figure out what he was saying literally hurt my brain. His mid term was pretty fair and the homework was not bad, but his final blindsided the entire class and his expectations for lab write-ups were not clear.

Comment:

Has a fairly thick Chinese accent but a good teacher. Genuinely wants everyone to pass the class, has a sense of humor that he is not afraid to show during lectures, if you have questions or think that you were graded unfairly, he is willing to take a look and give your points back. Nice guy, don't be afraid to talk to him or ask questions.

This guy should not be teaching! Can't understand anything he says. Has a horrible accent, expects you to remember all his slides from class. Minor quizzes are NOT MINOR AT ALL! I do not recommend anyone take him as a teacher if you actually want to learn because you won't learn and will be confused all semester. Got stuck in 2 classes @ same time.

Very reasonable professor. He will work with you to make sure you understand the material. If you show up to class and show him that you care about the class and respect his teaching, he will make sure you pass with a good grade.

Lian is the best. he is so easy, not that easy is always better. He just has a way of making the class easy. I got a 3.6 easily. This class is good to pick if you are an undergrad or grad student.

Lian is GREAT. He's SO easy. The only think you could possibly ask for in this class is that his Chinese-German accent weren't so thick. TAKE THIS CLASS FOR AN EASY GRADE!
