I usually don't do ratings, but I thought this class deserved it! Honestly, I was really intimidated by the amount of coursework there is, but if you plan everything out, you can really succeed in this class! The professor(s) of this course are so kind, amazing, and inspirational. It's a very strict course, but very doable. Just organize your time.

The internet is your friend. This course was easy and I made it through without reading much. If you don't use internet sources you will need to prepare yourself for a lot of reading. I got an A even though I got a D on the final. Final is based off of previous quizzes. Start the grad project early because it can be tough finding the information!

I loved Dr. Maxfield's class. Her lectures were detailed but still presented the material in a clear and easily understandable way. I took the class over winter, and we had 12 open book quizzes, 5 online assignments (SUPER easy), and some discussion posts. She's very nice and extremely helpful.

It's tedious work and honestly the "professors" don't do anything. there are students in the office that do more than them. Honestly I don't even know why this class is a requirement. There is a lot of extra credit. All the work is tedious and honestly it doesn't really help out much. This should be dropped as a required course.

This online course is taught by multiple teachers. The class is labor intensive, tons of assignments, but it is mandatory for graduation, so good luck! Use all resources possible and try to work ahead. The work load is heavy in the beginning, but by the 1/2 of the semester its easy. They are very efficient and respond to you fast!

Tough Grader. Quizzes are easy but discussion boards and finals are kind of tough. She touches basis with you of what you need to know but you have to google and look up examples yourself and go more in depth with the topic if you want to do well.

This class really prepped me for work in the field. I learned so much! Tests are straightforward the only thing that killed me was the discussion boards. I never got higher than a C on them despite my high test scores. This class is good preparation for interviews as an ABA behavioral therapist and these are great jobs for seniors and recent grads!

Took PSY 362 online with both her and Dr. Whitney (also had her for Research Methods before). Class was very interesting, but you definitely have to do actual work to pass. I learned a lot.

Favorite teacher ever. Learned more from her than any other. She can explain concepts in many ways for students who do not grasp it at first. and she is an amazing mentor as well. Be good to her and she will be the most supportive and guiding person you know. She does not take bs though.

Thought this class would be hard taking it over the summer, but it was amazingly easy and fun! Never stayed for the whole time either! Professor Maxfield keeps you interested when you're bored. Class has 3 test, 1 paper, and 1 research experiment.

I recommend her Human Memory class if you're interested in going beyond a Bachelor's. She has you do a lot of writing, but you actually design and have the option of doing a harmless research project on a topic OF YOUR OWN CHOICE. Class is difficult though because it's lengthy and there's little guidance because the projects are individualized

AWFUL Just awful. No structure or guidance. 25 pages total writing required. 20 of which she surprises you with halfway through. abstract and wordy explanations for everything. Horrible text. Keeps you 2 mins longer than the 2 hrs45 mins that just bores you to death!! Do yourself a favor----DO NOT TAKE if you have a life!!!

Dr. Maxfield is a wonderful person and easily one of the best professors I've ever had. She's sweet, intelligent, and really gets you excited about the material. She really cares about her students. I would recommend any of her classes. Her classes aren't an easy A, but I guarantee you will learn a great deal.

Best professor!! Her tests are Not easy but her style of lecture and notes on BB make it possible to get an A. She is super sweet and helpful!! Papers are different each time but she explains each concept. Attendance is a must since exams are based on lectures as well as examples she gives. Use text for more clarity on material.

I enjoyed her in 332 and 333. I hope to take 490 with her if possible. If you like to learn, think, and be challenged she will do that on the tests and assignments. If you are the type who gets by by writing papers the day before they are due, or cramming and memorizing before tests then take someone else... you will fail. Thanks Dr. Maxfield!!!

Dr. Maxfield is a pleasure to work with. I am currently doing research with her, and she's kind, understanding and very friendly. I've never had so much respect for a teacher/person in my entire life. I also had her for PSY333, and she's excellent at explaining course material. She has got to be the most positive professor at CSULB. Take her!
