Professor Suarez class mainly consists of lectures and they are hard to stay focused during because they are always somewhat all over the place. Suarez sometimes discuss too much of her personal life during class that has nothing to do with the subject we are discussing in class.

As long as you focus in class and skim your reading, you'll do fine. Do all your homework (it isn't ever hard, and you can't get lower than an 89 if you try). She's very generous and gives study guides and review sessions well before the test also has extra credit opportunities. Really cool content and Dr. Suarez is a great storyteller.

Professor Suarez doesn't teach anything that can't be read in the book, and her lectures are not effective. She half teaches things. She expects you to understand Christianity without properly teaching it because she does not acknowledge that not everyone is Christian. She also brings her dog to class occasionally which pees on the floor.

Comment:
This class is lecture heavy but you can manage a decent grade if you read the book and take thorough notes. Be aware of the slightly offensive, incorrect, and off the wall comments Dr. Suarez can say. They range from wrong facts to wrong understandings of a particular race or culture. I don't think she means them, she seems a little air headed.

Dr. Saurez is a very well educated and passionate about teaching. Look at the syllabus daily to find readings and assignments, take a lot of notes in class during her lectures, and follow the study guide thoroughly and you will have no problem with the class. She is very helpful and will help you if you ask.

Dr. Suarez is an extremely interesting professor. In "Jesus at the Movies" she has been extremely informed and well educated about everything that she teaches. She is passionate and interested in the things that she is teaching which makes the class much more exciting and thoughtful. While she may not have the same opinions, she is respectful.

The class itself was okay. It was a ton of reading. She isn't an easy grader and you definitely have to work hard for a good grade. However, she can be extremely rude. She is very liberal and if you voice your opinion and it isn't the same as hers she will cut you right down. I've never seen a teacher be so rude.

Dr. Suarez is extremely opinionated and will most likely go against anything and everything you say. She is a tough grader and not to mention her grading is unclear. she's extremely rude and her style is her way or the high way. I would not recommend taking a class with Dr. Suarez.

This was the worst class I have ever taken in my life. Going to class was like having finger nails dragged across the chalk board for an hour and a half. She is a hateful woman who puts down her students and talks to them like they are idiots. I do not recommend this class if you would like to keep your sanity.

Dr. Suarez's class really taught me how to think! Nice lady, but be ready to work hard! There is a LOT of reading and the tests are challenging, so be careful what you take in the same semester as this class. All that said, if you keep up with the reading, work hard, and do the study guides, you will succeed and the class will be interesting.

I LOVE HER! BEST TEACHER EVER! I'm definitely someone who does well with lecturing so I did well in her class. She's a very great, lively teacher who really treats every student as an adult. Her test are not the easiest, but I did well on them all because I did the study guides. I highly recommend her class.

Dr. Suarez is an EXTREMELY intelligent woman. Her class are often challenging for students because she expects students to be able to defend their point of view at all times. Class attendance is an absolute must! Overall a great professor, I highly recommend taking a class with her.

Comment:
Dr. Suarez is very liberal, and she isn't afraid to make that known. However, professors tend to be liberal (general rule of thumb.) She doesn't necessarily agree to disagree, but bringing a good argument to the table helps a great deal. She expects you to know the material; however, she ranks participation a little too high for what it's worth.

Simply put, if you have a different view point than she does, you're out of luck. If it's not what she believes then you better not say it, because you'll fail.

The class itself was boring, but Dr. Suarez is an interesting woman. I couldn't stand the class and the work was difficult. I passed with a C. I wouldn't recommend her unless you're very very very interested in the subject she's teaching. In short: good woman, bad teacher.
