I have taken her voice 1&2 class, worked with her in her shows, she was our coach and mentor for the KCACTF competition, i'm here to tell you guys that she is one of THE special teachers that cares about her students who are theatre majors or non-majors. when you see her name SIGN YOURSELF UP F A S T, its the best experience if you let it!

Comment:

Mariah is the sweetest teacher. She is patient and works with you until you understand. She works to get the best out of you. She pushes you and believes in all her students. She wants everyone to succeed. She dedicates time out of class to always help her students. I took 7 classes with mariah and would keep chosing her everytime!

I have taken both of her Voice classes, and I encourage ANYONE theater major or not to take her classes. She will challenge you as an artist but also as a person, in a very positive way. It can be scary at times but she creates this calm atmosphere for everyone to be comfortable and really learn from this class. I would take it again for sure

Comment:

I took her Acting II class and that was when I decided that I wanted to pursue theatre as a career. She makes you work hard, she wont sugar coat things for you but she will not ever be disrespectful . She makes everyone feel comfortable, from 1st timers to those who have been in acting before. She really knows what she is talking about. Love her !

I loved this class!! I was able to learn so much not only from the course, but also from Mariah. She has a true passion for fine arts and she really cares about her students and how successful we are. This has been my favorite course so far in Broward College. You have to put in effort, time, and work into this course, but she is willing to help.

I have taken several classes with this professor and have also worked with her on a couple plays. She is by far one of the best teachers I have ever had. She is very fun and interactive with the class, but she also expects you to put the work in. Mariah has helped me grow so much as an aspiring actress. Highly recommend her! You won't regret it!

Mariah is such an amazing professor not only does she really care about her students but she even made up a class to help with transfers her Acting 2 class is very helpful. Her materials are clear and I learned so much in such a short time, because of her classes I was able to get into all schools as a BFA actor that I auditioned for. Love her!!!

I had Mariah last year and she was AMAZING. At first I was afraid because there were some negative reviews posted for this class but she was not at all what I expected. Super nice, great teacher, and passionate about acting. TAKE HER!

If you are thinking of taking this class for an easy "A" - don't do it. It is for people who are serious about learning acting. I had some real breakthroughs and saw others who did too. She really cares about her students. Highly recommend her! She is a pro who knows her stuff.

Took her class a while back. Good teacher for beginners and okay for the experienced, learned a little, has little attitude, a little unapproachable, and some what funny but so serious at times about acting, and sometimes nice. Not the best

She's very nice at times but she can be a little too tough on people who don't know about acting. Ive been in a acting class before in Broward with another teacher and I felt a lot more comfortable and open. She makes acting kind of dull and boring.

I liked her class, however it was so tedious watching everyone do a single scene , one-by-one and have her give feedback and direction. Critiquing is good for theatre students, but sometimes I felt a little insulted. All you have to do is show up, participate, to the paperwork and there's your A. I don't think she helped anyone improve tremendously

BEST TEACHER! She helps you through your vocal tension and develope yourself. I worked with her in a production as well and I could not appreciate more the ammount of knowledge she passed to me. She is a really beautiful and smart lady! If you are serious about acting take this class! If not dont!! ITS HARD but worth it! :)

Comment:

Mariah is a super lovely person, she cares deeply about her students but is also strict about deadlines and behavior. She demands professionalism from her student actors just like any real production would. Acting is a lot of work and this class as fun as it is should not be taken just for an easy A.
