Incredibly passionate about the class. Like anyone else, she does not like being disrespected and believes tardiness is another form of disrespect. She is a fair grader and fantastic to anyone who is there to learn. Lots of material but the assignments really help to solidify the knowledge in your mind.

People saying it's horrible and hard are WRONG.. If you're a slacker, you'll obviously fail. Go take a diff teacher if you don't care about learning. But DONT blame her for your laziness. Makes class so interesting, and she is extremely knowledgable about material, has experience, makes it relevant, and has an extraordinary passion for teaching,one of those teachers that you dont come across frequently, so make sure you take what you can from the class. Wish shed be my teacher again!

Booo. I do not recommend. But if you do take her class, 2 tips: 1) Just don't ask questions. Write yourself a note and google it or look it up in your book later. Her answers are generally condescending and you'll regret you asked. 2) Read the book. Use the online study tools. Her notes are confusing.

I would highly recommend that you do not take her. She is a very unhappy person and it shows in her people skills. She has no problem embarrassing you in front of the class and she makes you feel like your stupid. If you have kids, a job, or a life. DO NOT TAKE her. The work you do is unrealistic.

I love Marilyn! She is the greatest teacher I have ever had! She works with students,and answers all the questions that you have. During lectures she makes sure that everyone understands before moving on. But if you don't ask, she moves. She gives study guides, and tests on that material. However, you must work for your grade. Take this class!

Wonderful instructor. She brings real world experience to the classroom. She makes her expectations clear and is always available to clarify any points via e-mail. Used textbook very little, but it was helpful to have, just the same. She has given me a great interest in the subject and I just may change my major because of her.

Marylin is a great proffesor. She is clear in her expectations and duties. She does not have the best "bedside manner" but does not show favortism. I would recommend her class anytime. YOU MUST STUDY!!!! All her tests have study guides that cover exactly what will be tested.

Not easy.Doesn't realize how much info she gives for a 50 min lec.Asking her ques. is impossible, very rude. She yelled at me a few times cause I had questions.RUDE! Ppl who had her for Bio 205 likes her but if you look at Micro 205 her rating sucks! You'll regret taking her class I know I did so don't risk it. She is not worth the stress!

She is by the rules! Organized but wouldn't take her class again. Lab was easy though. She gives too much information and gives study guides on blackboard. The downside to that is there is so much information on there that it's hard to remember and never know what questions will be asked. Can't take finals or anything early!

You can tell Marilyn enjoys teaching and I feel that is what separates an excellent instructor from a poor instructor. If you put an honest effort into the class, I can't imagine receiving a poor grade. The way she structures her class sets you up for success if you follow her guidelines. She is fun but definitely no-nonsense.
