Comment:

Not only does he have a charming and entertaining personality, but he genuinely aims to help each student become a better writer. Writing workshops can be very vulnerable moments, but he helps lift the awkwardness and focus on individual improvement. His lessons are iconic and he's willing to help if you're willing to ask. He's simply wonderful.

Ari is amazing. He's one of the most famous professors at UNF, so it's hard to get into his classes. But his reputation is deserved. He's inspirational. You write and revise two stories for the class. You also write critiques. Some unusual in-class assignments really help you think creatively. HIs rants are famous. You'll find out why.

Professor Ari has been the best professor I've ever had and CRW has been the best class. He pushes you to participate-very big part of your grade. 2 manuscripts to write in class and everyone critiques it. a smaller writing assignment every week super easy grades on completion. Don't miss more than 3 classes, and talk to him, it'll be easier.

If you want an awesome creative writing class, you have to take Ari. He typically only teaches night classes (6pm-8:45pm) which is annoying. But they are worth it. Dont be absent.

He has been an amazing mentor for ,y creative writing career. He is very inspiring and supportive, as well as being fantastic at getting to the root of an individual student's problem, helping them overcome it. Would recommend every time for everyone.

Ari is the best. I've taken his fiction and other CRW classes 7 times. Each was unique. You write and critique stories all semester. Ari gives great feedback. Discussions make you think in new ways. His rants are famous and inspiring. You have to experience them. Go to his office for great talks. I am so grateful for all he has taught me.

This was my last class before graduating and it was best class I ever had. It took me four years to find one that was what I had always hoped college was supposed to be about. Ari is inspiring. He is also, maybe, the smartest person I've ever met. He knows so much about so many things. It pays to talk to him.

Yes, Ari is really as awesome as all of those reviews say. If you want to improve your writing --take a workshop with Ari, I promise you won't regret it. He'll help you to find your own voice while having an extremely lively and fun class. Seriously, Ari is just the best.

Ari pushes you to your absolute fullest potential. He only asks that you breathe your art. He's the guy with whom you hope to share proximity in order to glean his artistry. And he makes uncomfortably long eye contact so beware.

Taking Ari's class inspired me to take my writing to the next level. He reminded me why writers endure what they do. Because they love the craft. If you are serious about writing you must take Ari at least once. You will not be sorry. He really is very good.

Amazing professor. He is genuinely interested in teaching. He has interesting ways of teaching, but hey, they work. I was iffy about this class before I entered it, and now I love writing. He always starts talking about random things. He makes it feel like he is talking directly to you.

Ari is really nicer person. If you show that you care and go to class you'll be fine. Be prepared to experience alot of class discussions about random topics and weird (but fun/interesting) exercises. Great professor though all around. And you do need the books.

I love prof Ari, He is so passionate about what he teaches. Before I leave UNF, I will take him again. It was through this class, I actually learned how to write. Improvment are in working progress, but it was Prof. Ari that got me to understand my weaknesses. I actually got a B in another writing class because of Ari teaching methods! Yeah!!
