She's great at cutting through the book's bs and teaching you what need, the important stuff. It is a lot of work though because there is a LOT you need to learn for accounting. So if you don't have time don't take her, esp since there's a lot of tests. She seems annoying at first but she's actually really nice and ready to help you if you ask.

Comment:

Mrs. Blumenthal was really kind and cared a lot about how all the students were doing in the class. Quite a few tests but the study guides and handouts really help. Isn't super easy but you can do really well if reading the text and doing some studying on your own. Mrs. Blumenthal is great! Not an accountant but would take it again in a heartbeat.

Marla is such a great professor! She really cares about her students. Most of the homework is online and she gives out worksheets about what's going to be on the tests. Final is difficult, but if you pay attention in class and take her notes you should be fine. Would take her again!

She seems all nice and bubbly but I never had that many exams in a class until I took this class. 8 exams plus cumulative Final. Plus quizzes and projects and HW on top of that. This class took a lot of work from my time.

Professor Blumenthal is a great teacher. She respects her students and is very easy going. The tests can be challenging but she gives you study guides and will help you out after class. She gives the students many opportunities to pass her class and to raise their grades. She can be funny and is very outgoing. If you want to pass ACC, take her.

Accounting was really hard for me. It wasn't that professor Blumenthal isn't clear, it's that accounting is a tough subject; at least for me it was. She let everyone know that it comes to some and not others. If you find that it is hard, make sure you seek out the help of your fellow students. Professor Blumenthal is awesome. It is you who sucks.

Very helpful when you have a struggle in class and very easy to approach after class. If you attend all her sessions and pay attention, do all the Homework she assigns, and take all the exams instead of the harder makeup versions she can create if you cant take the original test. there is no reason you can't pass with a C or Higher guaranteed

I was on a once a week class, so we had plenty of material to cover before each class. She would go through the entire assignments the day it is due. Do NOT rely on this, do your homework or you will be lost on tests!! Easy going tests and quizzes. Does not stress on attendance, however, it is very rude to be absent unless you absolutely need to.

The best teacher I've ever had. She makes class fun and easy to understand. Accounting is difficult to begin with and she doesn't have a problem helping a student if they don't get it. Very good teacher and I totally recommend her.. If she taught other classes, I sure would take them.

The best instructor I've had to date. Very clear and easy to understand. If you don't get something, she has no problem helping you until you get it. Class was fun and I enjoyed every bit of it. I totally recommend her!

She's an excellent teacher! One of the best teacher I have ever had. You do need a book for her homework assignments, her quizzes are very easy, and she gives you a study guide for her tests which are easy as well. Her attendance are mandatory but you wouldn't want to miss it because her lectures are fun and she makes the subject understandable.

She is a wonderful teacher, I had taken Accounting 2 times and after taking her class I passed and she helped me a lot. She's a sweetheart, also an experianced accountant and helps the students to understand the subject! I would definitely recommend her.

Mrs. Blumenthal is very helpful and easy to approach. If you want to learn Accounting take the course with her. She is best Accounting teacher at Riverside City College. She actually teaches the material. Great teacher, great class experience. At the end of the semester she gives the whole class extra credit to help everyone with their grades.

Mrs. Blumenthal is a great professor. Her teaching methods are efficient, and she literally gives you the answers to the tests, through the test and homework. Overall, Accounting is hard to comprehend, so you have to be diligent to receive a good grade. Show up to class everyday and you will receive a B or an A in her class.=)

Don't believe the negative comments that are posted here about Marla. I know the student who wrote those and why. The student hardly came to class and when she did show up she wanted special treatment and was a total pain. I LOVED this class! Marla is the best!!
