Anthropology major here and I can tell you she is probably one of the worst professors Ive ever had. Talk about lack of inclusivity as she doesnt use slides or anything of the sort. The final is worth 50% of your grade so get ready for that. She also gets confused about what shes going over about half the time. Nice lady but... lord.

Dr. Menchaca is very sweet, but I had trouble paying attention in her lectures as no powerpoint was used. Sometimes it was hard to determine what I was supposed to be focusing on, but she gave out study guides before the test which helped. I haven't taken the final yet, but the midterm was easy. Overall, a decent class but not exceptional.

professor menchaca is literally my favorite professor at UT! She is very knowledgeable of the subject she teaches and is very passionate about the subject. You're grades by very little things, however, if you dont read, it is VERY important that you pay attention, which shouldn't be hard because they're very interesting. She's a very sweet lady!

she seems like a nice person, but she is an awful lecturer. She rambles and isn't clear about what she's trying to teach

Really enjoyed this course. She doesn't use power points so you have to take notes on everything she lectures. The final and midterm are worth 90% of your grade but they consist of easy questions especially if you study. She gives study guides for both which cover everything. Caring lady, and the subject matter is incredibly interesting.

She tends to ramble on in class and doesn't use powerpoints, so if you start daydreaming, chances are you missed some info that you won't hear again. She says that basically her lectures are summaries of the readings, which is true. But you still have to go to class because she takes attendance (and gives extra credit if you never miss).

She's a nice lady, and seems to care about the subject matter a lot. However she isn't clear about what she will tests us on. Also there aren't any set power points- you just take notes from her talking. There's also a LOT of reading in this class. No homework, just 1 midterm, 1 essay, and 1 final. cool material, needs more organization!
