Professor Groves knows business from an antiquated perspective and refuses to evolve. Not a good professor at all. Avoid the headache, plus she is very inconsistent and petty.

Groves is a well-liked teacher at UNR, however I did not think her grading was very fair. You have to go to every class to get instruction on how to do assignments that are difficult and you will never write exactly what she wants. She is the hardest grader I've ever seen and I would recommend taking the other options of classes/prof for MGT321.

Mary is one of the best professors at UNR. She makes her classes interesting and makes you be involved in it. She only gives instructions in class so you have to go even though attendance isn't mandatory. A couple of assignments in the class but you have weeks to do them. Easy A.

One of the best instructors at UNR! The workload is not too bad. Mostly larger projects that you get weeks to do. Take good notes because she will only say instructions once in class.

Groves is honestly a really fantastic professor. She knows what she is talking about and is strangly funny. Her assignment criteria can sometimes be a bit ambiguous, but she is always willing to help if you go to her with questions. Pay attention especially during resumes and cover letters. It is more useful than you think.

Good teacher, but she doesn't give any instruction really on how to do any of her assignments. You Pretty much have to figure it out on your own. Also she's a really tough grader. This class asks for a lot but helps you out in the business world

Good teacher overall, but man shes a hard grader. I prepare for the exams with her lecture notes and I read, and Ive gotten a C- and D-.... everything else isnt too bad if you try. I personally believe the tests are extremely biased and she makes it impossible to get an A, and some cases a B... just be careful.

Mary is a tough grader but she is one of the best professors that I've ever had (and I don't even attend Reno, I just took a summer course!). She teaches the material in a way that is simple to understand and is hilarious!

Groves is a really nice lady who cares about her students but her material is dated. Her business advice and information is like something out of hot tub time machine. Had a different professor for the following course and got pertinent information for the job market in this era. The 80s were great... but they were also 30 years ago.

Professor Groves is a real gem! You will learn so much in her class that will apply to the business world. She definitely is a tough grader but it's so you learn not to make those mistakes. CEO presentation is a little intimidating but she walks you through EVERYTHING you need to do. Group project at the end of the semester is the only negative.

I loved taking her class! She is a very tough grader, and if you don't stay on top of your homework you'll miss out on lots of points because she doesn't do reminders for the online quizzes. There is also a big group research paper at the end of the semester, and a pretty nerve-racking speech you have to do. She is a great motivator & very helpful!

Even though Mary is a tough grader, I really enjoyed her class. It was not just about business writing, it was about effective communication in the business world. One of the most valuable classes I have taken so far and she taught it extremely well. Don't be afraid of the work load because it pays off in the class and in the future

I have learned so much in the class! Mary Groves is my favorite professor by far. She has real life experiences that she teaches the class. For me this class was really fun and I am honesty going to miss having it. If you do not get the textbook you cannot do the HW. Show up to class or you will not pass. HW are due at the beginning of class!

Amazing teacher. Do homework. Ask for help. Do all extra credit. Big project at the end, pick good group members. Very tough grader, but will help and change the way you write.

Groves is an enjoyable and very forward professor. Be weary of her C.L.A.S.S. rubric when completing assignments. Assignments weren't too bad until the group research project during the last month of class. Learned a lot (résumés, memos, emails), but this class could be very stress-inducing at times.

Just simply an amazing teacher. This is probably the only college class that I actually wanted to attend. The material she teaches can absolutely be applied in the real world. She assigns a decent amount of homework which is not hard at all. Just attend class and listen.

Groves is amazing. She is so smart & professional, but her class is tough. She will make you work for your grades, and she doesn't just hand out A's. That being said, if you work hard and revise your work, you can get an A. There's a presentation that's graded fairly tough, but it's totally doable. If you want to actually learn something, take her!

Good: Will ensure that you're resume and cover letter are beautiful Bad: Will make you work like a dog. HARD grader, and so many projects. If you are a business major, take ENG 321 instead of this class. You will be better off.
