This class was the perfect balance of lecture, relevant topics, and presentations. Prof. Pelkowski really cares about her students and is dedicated to their success. Beyond supportive. As future health care professionals she really gets it! Take her and be sure to get inspired!

Comment:

One of my favorite professors here. I would do anything to take her again, and I wish she was my advisor. Class was very easy, and she was always available outside of class. Requires academic service learning, but you can do a research paper instead.

One of the best teachers I had. We had some really good discussions in class about everything related to psych. I learned a lot in there, she likes when the class is invested in the course, it makes it easier for the class as well. we do NYtimes articles on psych related topics, no tests, we have presentations and volunteer service. great teacher

Comment:

Took her class at NCC Lifespan Human Development. Easygoing, kind, listens to students, wants you to pass, must participate. There was one presentation and homework. Mid term and final she assigns and mainly her lectures and notes did the job. Probably one of the best professors I've had.

Shes a great professor, and really does care about her students. Shes funny, and is very understanding and lenient. She assigns a couple things and she just pretty much makes sure you do the assignments. Shes very easygoing.

Professor Pelkowski is definitely a caring professor. She takes her students opinions into account, and she makes her lessons interactive. My only problem with Pelkowshi was that we were graded by very few things. We only had 2 tests, and one of them was the final. She based her final grade off of 2 tests, 3 homework assignments, and 1 project.

Prof. Pelkowski cares. I fell on rough times this semester and she helped me out letting me borrow her text book so that I could read her text, take notes and return it to her. She will never understand the impact of her kindness and what her compassion truly meant. Take her, she is SJU!

Mary is one of the greatest professors here. If you do not get an A it is because you did not want to. She really cares about students feedback/opinion on topic which makes class more interesting. She cares so much and wants to see everyone succeed. I am so lucky to be taking her again next semester.

Really nice professor. She makes the lectures very interactive and likes to hear the opinions and views of the students which makes the lectures more interesting. She requires 20 hours of volunteer work, or you have to write a 15 pg research paper, but it honestly is not even that bad. Shes a great professor, and she makes learning psych fun.

Let me start off by saying that if you fail this class, it is out of your own stupidity. Mary will do anything to ensure that you are genuinely learning something, actually enjoying her class, AND getting an A. She is incredibly understanding and is a professor I would die to be able to take again. Take her class! No hesitation.

mary is awesome! i highly recomend her. she is very down to earth and truly cares enough to make sure that the class understands everything that she is teaching. she also cancels class on just about every friday so that we have to time to do our service learning. TAKE HER IF YOU WANT TO LEARN!!
