If you're someone who really struggles with mathematical concepts and numbers in general, try to take this class in person instead of online. It's kind of hard to study strictly off his lectures, since the questions on his tests can be worded a little confusingly. Overall, he's a nice and caring teacher, but this class can be pretty difficult ..

Professor Huffman is amazing at emphasizing real understanding of the concepts. He explains things very clearly and is creative in finding new ways to explain concepts to students if they have any questions.

He posted the slides online. 2 miderms and a final both curved. He is such a fair grader and gives a bunch of credit for trying. I don't like math, but he was my favorite teacher and course of the quarter. There is no homework you turn in so that is nice. If you follow the lecture you should be okay.

There is no homework to turn in, however this is a double edged sword. It can be difficult to follow along in class, and even if you take good notes, the material is difficult for those who struggle with math. You get to use a page of notes for exams, however it may not be useful if you can't understand the book, lectures, or study guides.

Lecture are super helpful, and he gives (easy) pop quizzes in order to encourage students to come out. Discussions have quizzes, but they're easy as well. His practice problems are directly in correlation to the exams he gives. Good teacher overall.

He's a great professor, he always tries to help his students in any way and won't continue without knowing we understand the material. His exams are fair and he gives you a cheat sheet, if you address any concerns he takes them seriously. He even curves and even if you do the problem incorrectly, he still gives partial credit. Highly recommend!!!

Professor Huffman is a great professor. He explained things thoroughly and was clear about what was expected on the midterms/final exam. The problem sets are not graded and are very helpful.

Enjoyed this class a lot. There was easy weekly quizzes once a week in discussions. If he notices a decrease in attendance, he will give out attendance quizzes, so free easy points! His cumulative 3 tests are slightly more difficult but also manageable bc he lets you have a 1 pg cheat sheet for midterms & 2 pg for the final.

If you've had stats before, it's hard to understand his definitions. He lectures very quickly and has in class quizzes once a week in lecture and lab. That said, go to lab, office hours, and do the homework and you'll be fine. Allows a note sheet for each exam and wants you to succeed. He's funny in lectures. I wish he was teaching 10b!

One of the best professors I have taken thus far. He is very helpful and wants to make sure that everyone knows the material. Two midterms and final. Couple of quizzes given in discussion and lecture. Overall easy class and definitely recommend taking it with Professor Huffman!

Huffman is SUPER helpful and you can tell he wants to make sure everyone gets the help they need. He gives lots of examples and sometimes explains to the point of slight annoyance (but that's good for those who want to make sure they understand). Talks kind of fast, but still quite clear. Funny guy. Highly recommended.

Great professor who is absolutely reasonable with students. This was a 3-hour, once a week class, and he generally let us out an hour early. Assignments were straightforward. Random EASY pop quizzes though, so skim the readings to get an idea of the topic.

Huffman is a great professor! Sometimes the class went slower than it should have but that's just because he wants to ensure everyone understands the material! Midterms/final weren't too bad; there are a couple of trick questions but if you do the study guide and pay attention to the examples in the PowerPoint you should be good!

Have to read quite a few of PDF academic journals and some writing is done... never answers a question directly.this class is okay, nothing spectacular not easy, but not hard either. His pacing around constantly might get distracting but he is pretty cool.

Horrible power point presentations but not unbearable. I would zone out a lot. He doesn't give examples and beats around the bush when you ask him for a direct answer. Over studied for the final super easy. Nice guy not bad looking!

Great teacher. Doesn't always go through the actual math problems during class, but explains the concepts behind them well. However he is very approachable if you need clarification on something.
