Comment:

Shes very passionate about her career but shes very condescending and can be rude when a question is asked. She made me feel as though I couldnt ask a question because I didnt want her make me feel dumb like she did with other students. Shes also makes it clear that shes in charge and does what she wants but in a bad way.

Comment:

Scared to take bio, but she made it worth it, even on a Friday night! Always made us laugh and challenged me to think differently. She's an incredibly intelligent person. Also offers just enough EC to boost your grade in the end; tests were difficult for me, but this helped. Responsive to emails and lays out her expectations well. Take her!!

Comment:

Made Biology class a tolerable way to spend my Friday nights. She's not super easygoing when it comes to grading, but she is hilarious and teaches concepts in a memorable way. Good at making the whole room laugh.

I really enjoyed her class. She gives so many opportunities to get points and shes very clear in her lectures. She makes biology easy to understand and simple. I would ask her class again. Shes definitely a professor that wants you to succeed.

Comment:

I didnt have too many issues with Dr. Tommerup. Shes extremely direct & is very no-nonsense. Shes a good storyteller. Shes well prepared & definitely enjoys teaching. She can be rude to students who dont fully understand the material but thats her way of teaching. She puts you on the spot if you ask a question. It didnt work for me at all.

She's hilarious and makes it easy to memorize bio topics for the exams. You don't need to read the textbook at all to get an A in the class, just take notes and pay attention and study that to get an A. She usually ends class around an hour earlier and gives grades late.

Comment:

I would definitely recommend taking Professor Tommerup's class. Her lectures are extremely interesting and she has the best stories. As long as you study your lecture notes really well and do the homework, you can definitely get an A. Her exams are not difficult but they definitely require a lot of studying if you want to get a good grade.

Dr. T was a real funny professor, she made the whole class get in it. She def knows how to break down biology in ways to help you memorize. Although shes a cool person, I felt like she should post study guides way earlier. Exams were honestly a bit tough but you can get the A if you put the time in every day. DONT wait till the last minute!!

One of the best professors I've had. She tells lots of relevant stories to get you engaged in learning the subject matter. She's hilarious and very helpful. Study her notes and participate. She gives out a study guide for her test. I wish she taught other classes because I totally would take her again. You must put in work to earn your grade.

I took professor Tommerup and lets just say if you see her on the class schedule you should DEFINIETLYtake her she is one of the best i have come across,refer to syllabus Everything is on there sometimes she would remind us on quizzes other times she wouldn't , she has good stories that are relate to bio. Yet serious when it comes to class work.

Best Bio professor EVER! I took her class on Friday afternoon's and she managed to make the class fun and would always let us out early, which was always a plus. She gives out a studyguide, so study that every single day. you really need to understand the material and not just memorize. She replies to emails fast, so ask for help if you need it!

Professor Tommerup is the freakin BEST bio teacher ever !!! Bio is not a easy subject and tommerup finds a way to make bio fun and understandable. She is hilarious and finds a way to incorporate the material with her funny jokes and that was a plus cause when it came to test time, i remembered everything because her lectures were always LIT !!!!

Enjoyed this class. She is helpful and very informative. Can keep your attention during lectures. Would take other bio classes if she offered them at Fullerton college. the course work was not overbearing and she is laid back about most things.

If you're a bio major STAY AWAY! Dr. Tommerup isn't someone you should be learning from. Too much information is simply left out of the "curriculum". Of the information that is covered, there is much to be desired. I left this class feeling very uneducated. She canceled 3-4 lectures and showed up late more than I care to remember. Take someone else

I took her Bio 101 class at Fullerton college 2 years ago and I have to say, I still remember a lot. Her class has helped me tremendously in many of the classes I have and am taking right now. Take her!! I'm sad I am not a Science major and cant take her classes at Cal State Fullerton.

I absolutely loved taking her class. I was never interested in Bio but she makes it so interesting. I don't think her class is easy but if you attend class, do the work and study, you WILL learn a lot. Best teacher at Fullerton College!

She has been my favorite teacher at FJC. She tells the best stories that go along with the material and helps you remember things easily. She really wants every student to be successful and gives clear instructions. I had her for FRI/SAT last semester and always looked forward to class. Take good notes and do all the work. TAKE HER!!

Dr. Tommerup is a great professor. She isn't "easy" and you actually have to try in her class. Don't think you can "fly by." She assigns homework (which are mostly packets or worksheets). Her tests are based on whether you know the material or not. Her tests aren't based on memorization skills...you must UNDERSTAND the material (take good notes).

She is a great professor! She keeps you entertained with her stories and jokes, always ready to help out and clear any confusions. As long as you keep up to date you will be good to go. She makes you do activities so it's not just lecture all the time. I got a B in her class, but i feel I could have done better. She's a nice and easy professor!

This teacher is hilarious! She makes learning bio fun! She tells you stories you'll never forget to remember things. She can be a little blunt but that's what made me love her even more! I definitely recommend this class for anyone struggling with bio. Just do your hw and show up, I got a B in her class.
