Comment:
Great professor for easier courses, but as soon as you get to the literature that matters he doesn't end up teaching very much. You're dumb out of luck for notes, so pay attention in class as he tends to asks the most meaningless questions on tests.

Awesome prof. Super interesting and kept the class very entertaining. His exams were exceedingly easy. He barely uses the textbook - he uses the online textbook website quizzes and that's all. I would highly recommend any course that is taught by this man!

Professor Lynn-George is the single greatest reason why I'm still at UofA this semester and not off at UBC. His classes are captivating, his stories are riveting and his jokes are witty. I took his 102 course in my first semester, and when I found out that he was leaving, I worked for months to get into his 302 class in winter. Absolutely worth it.

Probably the most tangential prof I've ever had. He definitely loves mythology though. Exams are fairly simple if you know your stuff. I just read the text and did very well without going to class very often, but he's entertaining to listen to.

I'm in my fourth year at the UofA and this is the best professor I've ever had. I switched out of one of my favortie Winter Semester classes just to have him again. He's got a great personality and he is very fair. In a lecture hall of 100+ students he remembered my name and treated each of us as a friend. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Lynn-George.

A funny and easy prof. He's a great story teller and makes you laugh, no matter how stupid his joke. He does stray off topic and takes a little longer than desired to go through notes, doesn't really stick to the textbook all that much but he is very helpful. Attend class, he likes to add to his notes through voice.

Great intro to Mythology. Textbook is not necessary, print the sections from his website, go to class, and write in extra information as necessary. Very easy class, he keeps it light and enjoyable. Two quizzes test to see if you attend class. One midterm which uses questions from textbook's website so you should do well. Very enjoyable class.

Focus on dirty aspects of mythology, but could have been worse. MT was very hard (especially T/F) but otherwise not bad. Not the best or the worst prof ever. I didn't buy the textbook and got an A anyhow.

Dr. Lynn-George is an amazing professor. He is very helpful, enthusiastic, and a great person in general. He's clearly passionate about the subject, which makes it worthwhile for students. His lectures can be confusing and attending class is mandatory (we're adults, it's not hard to attend class). I highly recommend this professor!!!

HORRIBLE prof! I always get A's and B's; I got an F!! Exams are totally on lectures which have no structure at all. Exams are unfairly hard and WAT too long! He screamed at the class when we got poor marks on the midterm. Easily the worst prof ever; DON'T TAKE HIS CLASS!!!

This is an awesome class for anyone who is interested about Greek gods. This Prof seems so hyper all the time, keeps me awake! But you have to attend all of his class, because most of the things on the exams are his oral lectures, and please also read the textbook, it is very helpful. If you need help, he usually helps right away. Amazing Prof!

Pretty disappointing. Gave us a ridiculous interpretive assignment and then yelled when our interpretations were apparently wrong. Lectures have little to no structure or direction. I think he's the worst classics prof I've had.

The textbook is great-looking on your shelf, but useless for the course; but ensure in 3+ pages of notes per class, however. Enjoy the theatrics!

good prof, he makes class interesting and fun because he's so charismatic. don't miss class though, his exam is pretty much based on lecture only. he's a fair marker and although he doesn't really answer questions directly, whatever, it's mythology and nothing's completely sure.

I had this guy last year; he's awesome. Honestly, the tests are pretty easy IF you pay attention in class. His assignments are "success-oriented" -- do them with even a smidgen of effort and you get easy marks. If you don't, the names and stories will getcha. Keep on your toes so you don't get shafted by the curve.
