Mr. Swingler is a good teacher. His first test is hard because you don't know the layout. Comparing the quizzes and study guides to past exams was helpful to see what kind of questions will be on the exam. Not a hard class; I got a high B because I got a D on two tests because I was lazy. So, study notes, do study guides, and go over quizzes.

Swingler will start out tough to weed out unmotivated people and then get easier as time goes on. He sincerely knows that physics 111 is just a requirement for a lot of majors and he goes really easy on his students as a result. He is not very helpfull and his lectures go super fast but he doesn't collect homework and his tests are 5 questions.

Mr. Swingler is an awesome teacher who actually cares about your success in the class. I took this class in four weeks so it was really fast paced, but I still did well. Would recommend him to anyone who has to take Astronomy.

Made it the most enjoyable class I had in two years at PVCC. He makes the class interesting and fun, he's just an all around good guy. He makes it easy for you to succeed, as long as you pay attention, do the assignments, and put forth some effort. Very lienent grader as well. A+

This guy is great. This class seemed daunting to me at first, but Mr. Swingler really pulled me through. He's a visual teacher; has lots of diagrams and visual aids for you, so if you learn a different way it may be harder. You don't need a ton of effort to make an 'A', just do the assignments.

He is a great teacher, funny and knows his stuff. He grades really relaxed and fair unlike most teachers, easy class i never opened my textbook not once just listened to the lectures and took notes and passed with a B+, basicaly if you take notes and study them you will pass easily.
