Do not put yourself through this class. Extremely rude lady who will literally call you out for coughing in class... She can't answer any questions you have because she does all examples from a answer key and doesn't actually teach the material. Online tests (weekends only) and assignments are not similar to class notes at all. Worst prof at smu.

I am writing this review to strictly warn you to avoid her class ! She is very condescending to students and almost seems as though she enjoys hurting students feelings! Your questions may get answered but not without her belittling you! PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND COMPLETELY AVOID HER AND HER CLASS!

Comment:

Worst professor at Smu. When signing up it was TBD but avoid if possible. I have never met someone so rude in my life, and if you ask a question she'll say something like "how about you answer MY question not your own". Expect to teach yourself or get a tutor as all she does is do questions by re coping them over the projector& not explaining them.

Disrespectful and condescending to students. She's not very self-aware. Knows material well but doesn't know how to portray knowledge that to the class. Try to get a different professor for stats.

One of the worst professors at SMU. Took Quant 2 with her and was the only free class for Stats. Very disrespectful and condescending. Wouldn't recommend taking any course with her. I have never seen a professor treat students the way she does.

Comment:

Once you attend all of the lectures, do the practice homework/assignments and do the practice exams, you should pass. She definitely knows her stuff and prepares you for what will come on the midterms and final. However, you do have to put in a good amount of time outside of class in order to excel. Overall, not a bad option for stats.

Taking her class seems okay for students who can self learn. She seems to welcome questions and be friendly but it turns out not really. She does not explain things too clearly but enough to do well on Tests and assignment. Lots of pratice exercises are given but not mandatory to be done. However you really should do it so as to do well on exams

Read the comments going into this class and thought that I was screwed. Turns out the majority of commenters are 10ply. Saagh simply says it how it is, mildly abrasive but not in a bad way. She genuinely cares about your wellbeing. She knows her stuff, I do find it frustrating that she uses a different set of tables.

Awful, she makes everything way more confusing than it needs to be. My friends in other sections of the class with different profs are having no trouble at all, while I am struggling to get by even though I had a A+'s in both of the previous MGSC courses.

Painfully bad. She definitely knows her stuff but is not a natural educator. Fast paced lectures and her notes aren't very helpful. If you can take the class with anyone else, do it.

Absolutely the worst class ever!! This is my 3rd degree and for a 2nd year course this was the hardest course I have ever taken and she has to be the worse professor I have ever had!! Rude to students and makes you feel stupid

Worst professor I've had at SMU. Very rude and demeaning towards students. Most people in my class are scared to ask a question due to her snarky responses. She makes the course work much harder than it needs to be compared to the other sections. During our exam review, she wouldn't go over a question on a concept because she had already taught it

She's too forward/blunt with student questions (comes across as insulting at times). If you don't know something she deems obvious, she'll belittle you to some varying degree or another. Reads/makes notes off slides (don't expect exam tips/useful questions). Best bet is to get a tutor and read the textbook. Don't ask her about a tutor.

I started stats as a spring course to get ahead, during the second lecture I walked out and dropped the course. I cannot illustrate what a hostile environment she created in the classroom; she put down students who volunteered incorrect answers, used symbols I have never seen in my math career and didn't explain them, really seemed above it all

Wasnt even my proffesor for stats and could tell not to take her class. She got mad at me during the exam and accused me of cheating on my cell phone when I used the washroom for less then a minute. A friend of mine with around the same GPA struggled in stats while I succeeded from taking a different prof. Avoid at all costs.
