While professors young's class was VERY easy to pass, I felt it to be boring and lacking inspiration ,her lectures were confusing and her grading wasn't clear. the reason I did so well in her class was because I knew how to talk in public already. Put effort and time into your speeches and you'll get an A.

The reviews are true, don't take her unless you need to because of your schedule. Unorganized, unclear about expectations, changes her mind a lot. For a speech professor mumbles too much and never gets up from her seat. Makes unprofessional facial expressions and questions students speech topics rudely. One of the worst I've had!! No teaching.

Very good professor, sometimes she's very unorganized but she teaches the clases and gives her lectures well. She may drift sometimes and talk way too much, but she makes sure to answer a lot of questions. There's various presentations for class and the way she grades sometimes are not well justified. The exams are fairly easy if you read and study

Loved the class! very easy and very helpful teacher! learned alot! Fun environment, fun teacher! Makes the assignments fun and can laugh with the class and not be uptight.

If you prepare and give your speeches as scheduled, you will get a decent grade. Seemed very unorganized at times and had trouble getting students through the class (over 50% attrition). Some students had real issues with her.

Do not take this class!! Very dry and class was not taught with passion. It was very difficult to continue to attend class. She did not teach the material. She only asked you questions about it. Very Dry and boring. Wasn't motivated. Although if you do the work you will do fine.

i liked this class very much. it made me loosen the grip of nervousness that was on me before i went to class. we would always have in class discussions. i think she is too nice when it comes to speech days (meaning letting people go longer than time; and letting people go on a later day) but overall, she was cool. a bit unorganized but who cares.

She looks mean the 1st day but she says if she smiles that it shows nervousness or intimidation. It's can be stressful because no one likes writting speeches but as long as you show her that you tried and do required work you'll do fine. overall she's okay.

I thought she was very through and straightfoward. often times showing videos and giving hand outs in addition to lecture material. If you do what she asks it's an easy A. Very cut and dry. Have to work hard to do bad in her class.
