Seriously STAY AWAY. You will have to rely on a tutor because you will learn nothing. He gets the wrong answer and we had to correct him several times. And you will most likely not be able to understand his accent.

Very hard to understand is an understatement. Tests were ridiculously hard, doesn't clearly inform you of what the actual types of questions are that will be on the exam. Even when you ask 10X. Labs were a cake walk. He basically teaches off of worksheets for the entire lec class. If you have a hard time with chemistry DO NOT take his course!!

The Worst professor I ever had at OCCC. His style of teaching is VERY BAD. If you want to learn Chemistry you have to teach yourself the material, because he can't teach whatsoever.

Pak is a very nice guy and hes very smart, HOWEVER, good luck understanding anything he says. He has a very heavy accent. He's always happy and very kind, and if you have an ear for a chinese accent you'll do ok.

Is it pressure or pleasure? haven't figured it out yet... take my advice if u don't outline the chapter summary outlines you won't survive. do the homeworks and ask Dr. MacMahon for help. also save all ur tests, his final is made up of the same questions.

Avoid this one - very bad accent - hard to understand. Puts q's on test that have nothing to do with what was taught - seems to want to prove he is smarter than students more than he wants them to learn

i took him during my first year at college, and i regret that. not only did i struggle with both the accent and the course, but i also had 3 classes to keep up with. the crappy text book+questions not answered+the stess=C-. save yourself from this class.

how da heck did he get a job teaching. some students may be lazy but i had a 3.4 average until i had his class for my last semester, now it's down to a 2.80. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. take chem when you transfer and don't waste your time or money signing up.

TO ALL STUDENTS WHO WANT TO CONTINUE ON IN PRE-MED, BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES, PRE-VET AND SCIENCE/PRE-PROFESSIONAL FIELDS. do not take chem with this professor. lectures are live horror movies and, with a smile, tells students that dropping class is definite

Pac knows Chem better than anyone and he will make sure you know it too. He is eager to help out outside of class. A great reference for transfers. Accent can be tough but is easy to get used to. A+
