Mrs. Dixon made a real impact in my life. What you learn will service you, in life, in the real world. I learned about how the gov't legally kidnaps our children, indoctrinating them. I gained the "know how" to research case law, write a case brief, and about jurastiction, which I am forever greatful she taught me. She gave me the skills I needed.

Took her online AIS 102 class. She's a really tough grader and really hard to pass. She expects you to do your assignments exactly how she wants them. If one thing you write is wrong she takes off a points. She doesn't take any late assignments. I don't recommend unless you like a challenge.

I took Dixon during the summer and her class was by far the hardest class I have taken, yet. Very tough grader and marks down points on the simplest things. You get two-three assignments each week and they are very lengthy. Although, she does offer a bunch of extra credit. If you enjoy the topic, and want a challenge, take her. Otherwise dont recc

I took AIS 101 and 102 with Professor Dixon. She is a great professor in my opinion, just the right mix of funny, personal, and professional. Her lectures can feel long depending on your interest level in the subject, but I always walked away feeling like I gained some understanding. If you participate you will get something out of her class.

The course material was fairly hard, if you dont know much about law in the first place, but she offered a lot of resources to assist with this, she was great at responding to emails, and offered a lot of extra credit options, if you're serious about this course and want to learn, you do have to put in a good amount of effort, and you'll pass.

I took 4 week class. Lots of reading since it's basically 4 chapters every week. But the assignments aren't excessive. One DB, quiz, video and paper. Her class is very organized and you know what is expected of you. Not the easiest class but not super hard either. Do your assignments and a B should be easy enough. She is great at responding quickly

Exams were given on Blackboard and required several hours to complete. She did not review exams afterwards nor were we given the opportunity to see which questions we got wrong (except for the last exam). It felt counterproductive to the learning experience.

This was not an easy class. But, Professor Dixon will do anything to help you succeed, except do you work for you. If you try, she is supportive and way more than fair. Highly respected and loved by her students.

Professor Dixon was a nice lady with great stories. Her tests were more than fair, most of the time they were take home or open book. If you keep your phone put away during lecture, take good notes, and do her study guides (which we were able to use with the test) you will do great. Plenty of opportunities for extra credit as well. Highly recommend

Great Teacher. Quizes every week, but she goes over the chapters during class before taking quiz. Book may seem really long but you do a lot of group work to help out with the chapters. I recommend the teacher 1010

This was the worst class I have ever taken. Her tests were impossible. She made you read huge chapters (which I read all of) then gave quizzes and tests that barely had anything to do with the chapters. She also doesn't give study guides, so you don't know what things out of the 300 pages you read will be on the test. DONT TAKE THIS CLASS

Dixon was a really nice person but this was the worst class I have ever taken. It it was super hard. She makes you read REALLY long chapters and expects you to memorize like 500 court cases before quizzes and tests. The group project was also a nightmare. I got an A in the class ( I worked hard) but I know a lot of people weren't so lucky...

Professor Dixon is a very nice and understanding lady. I had zero interest in American Indian Studies prior to this class. Now I find it very interesting. I recommend her but you have to come to class ON TIME, communicate with her, and do your work. I will be taking her again for AIS 102.

Dixon is extremely nice.. From an academic standpoint though I woulnd't reccomend her. She test on the book (lots of reading) but lectures on very little. We spent most of the time listening to stories of her college days or Indian folk stories. I wouldn't mind normallybut whn the tests came it was all on the book.
