An okay professor. It couldve been worse but I wouldnt recommend him. He explained calc well enough that I passed but I wasnt inspired or anything. Also life tip: dont take 8am calc classes, they suck.

He sucks. I learned more from just reading the textbook on my own time than I did attending class. If he's your only option, just skip class and use the time to self-teach. His class is a waste of time. He screws up his own questions. If he can't complete an example in two hours, you won't be able to do a 60 question test in two hours either.

We used MyMathLab but didn't need a book bc it was on that, don't take this class. he does not care about you or the grade you have in his class, sometimes unable to answer his own question from the homework, attendance not mandatory but if you don't go you will fall behing. save your money and take another class.

Unless you are taking an easy schedule dont take this class! So much homework each week that there is next to no time for anything else. He has quizzes every week and has a total of 3 tests which have up to 60 questions with multiple parts in each question. Professor is rude and doesnt help you understand anything when you are struggling.

Just dont... Doesnt care about his students passing and doesnt teach. If you cant learn from MML then youre screwed. Very rude and condescending remarks, he is also very unpleasant to talk to. My pet fish is a better teacher.

The class itself was super easy, it was basically middle school math. There was a lot of homework but it wasn't really hard, just boring. Had to pay for Aleks which sucks. Rowe himself is kind of rude, but as long as you don't ask questions or interact with him in any sort of way he wont be condescending to you.

Avoid this professor if you can. The homework is entirely to much homework you wont have time to study for other classes Its like up to 90 topics on Aleks due everyweek . His way of teaching is poor.

Very good prof. Explains everything in great detail, and the hw and weekly quizzes really boost your grade. You will not know your grade unless you go to his office hours, and the final is on everything he has talked about the entire semester, so take lots of notes. Super cool dude! Take This Class!!!!!

I took this class as a medical school prerequisite for mathematics. If you show up to his class, take notes, and complete the homework you shouldn't have any trouble. If you don't ask questions he will move quickly but despite sometimes rude comments, he answers all questions thoroughly and is a good teacher.

Do NOT take him. Had to withdraw from this class because I didnt learn anything from him & failed. It was scary to ask questions because he laughed or made a rude comment when you asked something that he thought you should know already. Doesnt even post grades, so good luck ever finding out what you have (its extremely hard). Seriously, dont.

I barely got anything out of this class. Dr. Rowe was extremely rude when people would ask questions or answer something wrong. Everything I learned from this class was because I took a statistics class before this. Save yourself the annoyance and walk away.

I liked Dr. Rowe as a person and it was very obvious he knew what he was talking about but the homework looked nothing like the tests and quizzes and they quizzes make up most of your grade. There's only two tests plus the final and if you miss a review session (class before) you probably wont pass unless you're naturally good at math.

Rowe is a really nice professor and takes time to answer questions. Good amount of work involved, which includes a homework assignment every class which you can usually finish halfway in the second part of class. Quiz at the beginning of each class, easy if you read through the material.

Honestly do not reccomend him for anyone. He is not clear with the concepts and if you ask any type of question, he laughs and responds very rudely. Don't visit office hours, he will just tell you that you're not trying hard enough. Moves too fast in class and his handwriting is terrible- you can never read the board.

The first and only class I dropped throughout my career in college. His teachings are unclear, he's very fast, sarcastic, makes you feel dumb, gives quizzes every week (i went to tutoring for EVERY week and still failed), no extra credit, mymathlab sucks. He teaches OKAY during office hours but doesn't help that much during his 1 hour office hours.

He doesn't actually answer any questions. If you try and answer a problem and get it wrong he doesn't care to explain the right answer he simply makes a joke out of it. Awful teacher.

Comment:

Professor Rowe is the last person you want to take for math. If you can avoid him find someone better!! He does not lecture, he simply writes and answers a problem and does not explain how and why he gets the answer. Everything on mymathlab: online homework and quizzes and a paper quiz for every class with 4 tests and a cumulative final. STINKS!
