Professor is likeable. He is very laid-back and works with you if you need time or help with assignments, understanding and/or tests. He is approachable. He allows everyone to have an opinion and expects you to branch out your thinking with theorys used in the course and by participating.

Taken two online classes with him, not a good experience. Never answers his emails, doesn't post things online within a timely manner. First class with him he didn't grade much, didn't know where I stood at all. Hasn't posted any of the assignments due, a couple due dates have already passed, so I'm unaware of what's going on... Really frustrating!

Great and easy class. All you have to do is read the textbook and participate in class discussions. Mr Ellis is a great instructor, although he is hard to contact at times and can be opinionated.

There is no consistency with this class. Thankfully I read some of the other reviews on here and knew better then to take the class in person.

I would never take him again. He is all about students participating in class, but will ridicule you if you do not share the same opinions as him. He is very biased. He will scold you for coming in one minute late, but when another student he likes more comes in he pretends not to notice. Super unorganized. Says he doesn't know when things are due.

The absolute WORST professor at Kishwaukee College. I took him for multiple classes, and he is AWFUL. Doesn't answer emails, never stays on track, doesn't remember what he has scheduled or planned, and he wouldn't even notice if you showed up. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!!

Personally had a hard time learning from Mr. Ellis. Almost all info on the tests comes from your own reading in the textbook. Lectures are more class discussions than going over material. Good guy, but very unspecific in what he wants and expects on assignments and tests.

My experience with his sociology class was very unpleasant. He is extremely unorganized and cancelled class numerous times throughout the semester, most of the time without emailing the class. He preaches "class discussion" but we rarely ever had class discussions the whole semester. He's a terrible instructor, but all his tests are on QuizLIT!!

He was a great teacher. He would tell you what would be on the exams, and did a great job at explaining everything. He did constantly change the due date of things, but that did not bother me. His exams were easy, as long as you came to class and read the main points of the chapters. He also gave out tons of extra credit. It was an easy A.

Awful. I have never blamed a teacher for falling behind or being completely lost but I do blame him. His lectures make no sense and are all over the place. He assigns stuff that is not in the syllabus and will change the due date 5 different times. He wants you to participate in class but makes you look stupid when you do. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS

I think he is a great professor. He is unorganized, and does cancel class and move due dates a lot, but he's human. I find his lectures to be very intriguing, and definitely challenges my point of view. His classes are ones that you CANNOT skip. Overall he's a good person, funny, and knows his expertise very well.

If you want to keep up your GPA and be respected as a person, do not take his courses. His lectures do not help at all, he doesn't answer emails, he is rude, intimidating, and patronizing. Don't bother asking questions about due dates, he won't answer them. He is very unorganized & admitted his girlfriend wrote his lectures once.

He was horrible! He NEVER answers e-mails, he is very unorganized, and gets mad when people don't participate. He cancelled class quite a bit, talks about his personal life too much, and doesn't care about his students. The textbook he uses sucks, it's all articles and not like a normal textbook.

He was one of the worst professors that I have ever had in my 3 years at Kish. He was rude in emails, took forever to get back to you, and was always changing things. He was not good at communicating what exactly we needed to do and when it was due. Most of the time things were not in the grade book that we had turned in. NEVER TAKE HIS COURSES.

This class was way more exhausting than it needed to be. Due dates/exam dates constantly changed, expectations were inconsistent, and lectures were random and disorganized. Forgot to assign things that were in the syllabus, messing up point system for entire class. Too bad, because he really does seem to have a masterful understanding of sociology.

He is the most unorganized, rude, and arrogant professor I've ever had. He changed the due dates for assignments EVERY week and then forgot about it. He spent 90% of the class telling stories about himself. He asks questions in class and then tries to make you feel stupid if he doesn't like your answer. Would not recommend him to anyone.
