Very helpful and willing to go out of his way to help students who are interested in the class and want to take it to the next level. You will get out of this class what you put into it. If you just show up and dont really care, you wont get nearly as much as if you put in extra effort and use Marquez as a resource to help you improve. Great Class!

I HAD HIM FALL 2005 AND DROPPED CAUSE I COULDNT DO THE PROJECTS AND TOOK HIM AGAIN FALL 2006, I DONT THINK ITS TRUE THAT HE FAVORS THE PRETTY GIRLS. HE DOES LIKE OUTGOING PEOPLE.HE DOESNT REALLY TEACH MUCH ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHY, JUST GO OUT AND SHOOT & BE CREATIVE.NO BOOKS OR TESTS. HE CAN BE COCKY ABOUT HIS LOOKS, WOULDNT BLAME HIM.

Comment:

Marquez is one of the best teachers I have ever had. This is a creativity class. He can’t teach anyone how to be creative. What he does do is give you an opportunity to explore your inner creativity, and then give you criticism to help you improve. Yes, he does require a lot of his students, but effort was all I ever saw him grade on.

I learned as much about photography from this class as I did from a library book. If you need an easy GE art credit, take this guy. Be sure to kiss his (admittedly fine) ass by laughing at his endless stories about himself and asking him about his work. If you want to learn about photography, take someone else.

I like him. He's good! Class is easy. No tests. Just all projects... grading based on effort. He's good at remembering you/names, etc, so leave a good impression! Outgoing, funny guy... keeps me interested! Recommended.

I like this class. He is a f#%*en hottie ::drools:: (lol) and i think his teaching methods are good. He is good to look at....he has a great sense of humor. Yeah, the class might sometimes be like BLAH, but that's cause the people don't talk so much. So far, I'm happy in his class :)

I liked him, and I liked the projects. I am a girl, and I thought he treated everyone equally. If you know anything about photgraphy, you'll do fine. The class may be a little dull, but he gives fun projects.

Marquez is the is the worst, the most biased teacher, I have ever had. He is not helpful at all. The more smile you have on your face, the higher grade you will have on your transcript. Of course if you are a girl, and if you are pretty.
