He gives a lot of handout. Little too messy he should number the handout instead of just mention it. Takes away points for everything you are late -1 point. Handout the homework late -2. Miss a symbol on your equation -3 to -4 points. Minus points for everything. He likes to scare people, but college is way easier than his class.

"Preview of coming attractions."Dr. Forsstrom is a highly intelligent person with an amazing academic background. I suggest to any math/engineering major to take him. You will learn a lot from. He starts class on the dot and expects you to be there on time. Has a strict late policy. May seem unapproachable but will definitely help you if you care.

Extremely intelligent professor with great teaching skills. He will break everything down to make everything easy to understand. Very good at making concepts easy. Only downside is his attendance policy which is way too strict and affects grade too much. Other than that tests are good and are based on homework given. Can get an A by doing all hw

Forsstrom is the best professor i've ever had in my opinion. -Direct and easy to comprehend lectures -LOTS of handouts -No textbook required -HW every class (from the handouts) -Group guizzes (almost) every class at the end -Handout sheets before exams with topics -Dry humored af -Looks unapproachable but he's actually a very nice guy

I wouldn't recommend taking this professor. He gives a lot of unnecessary and tedious work. He gives homework assignments after every class that he might not even collect. He assigns group work with random classmates after every lecture. It gets annoying. I'm not sure why everyone recommendeds taking him, but I definitely wouldn't

Randy is like a finely tuned android whose sole purpose is transferring knowledge into your brain. He is fast paced, straightforward, dryly funny, tough but fair grader, and one of the best prof.'s at BCC. If you want to be more laid back take Ockay or Feigenbaum (also great). Previews and coming attractions; if you miss class you fail.

Worst professor at Bergen! Never there for students to talk to. Tells you go to the tutoring center If you don't understand like he doesn't want to give you the time or help you seek. Would not recommend him at all.

Honestly one of the worst professors I have had. Everyone seems to say he is there to help, I tried to speak to him on numerous occasions and he was never willing to talk always walking in another direction. Told someone who had a question to email him rather than answer him. Goes way to fast and most times won't answer a question until the break.

Expect to get the grade you deserve. His lectures will fully prepare you for his exams. Helps his student's understand the materials. Great professor that made learning statistics 2 much easier than I anticipated in the beginning.

Professor Forsstrom is actually a great math professor, and that's coming from a student who strongly dislikes math. I feel like numerous enjoy taking him because he can actually TEACH. While he is good at teaching, he is strict and tough. Beware of homework assignments almost every class, group quizzes, and an absence/late policy. Good luck!

Dr. Forsstrom is the BEST PROFESSOR AT BCC. I took him for multiple math courses and his classes are AMAZING . I wish I could take him for all my other courses. He is knowledgable and his teaching method is the best I haver ever seen. He makes you keep up with the material, do your hw, and work hard, actually teaching you how to succeed in college.

Back in 2002 I had Dr. Forsstrom for most of my computer science and math courses. I have to say that, now that I am working in the industry, everything he taught me is invaluable. He is a model teacher and there is not one day that goes by where I don't use what he taught me. He is tough but what he will teach you is irreplaceable

He explains things clearly but watch out for group projects, homework and attendance since he takes 2 points off your final grade for every absencelateness, 20off for late homework. I had to use my colombian techniques to pass the course, but generally feel that he's still living life like a beginner but doesn't realize this is only the beginning

Prof Forsstrom is such a good professor and I learned so much from him. I really enjoyed this class too. The only thing is, I had an A average for the class before the final. The final dropped my grade to a B+ because it's worth 35% of your grade. I asked my former classmates and they experienced this too. Make sure you study A LOT for the final!

Forsstrom is easily the best professor in this school. He knows his stuff and he knows how to teach it. He doesnt baby you but if you have a question or need help he will help! hes a tough professor if youre not devoted to the class and work so if you want a class to breeze by, dont take him but if you want to actually learn he will get you there

By far THE BEST professor in BCC!Not only is he a math genius but also explains everything with 100% clarity.Very strict and demanding, does not buy any crap from students but is absolutely fair when giving tests and grading. And on top of that he's really funny. I would definitely recommend him, hands down!

He is a math genius. Def knows his stuff. Very humorus. Took him for Calc I and struggled a bit. You have to study a lot. He explained things well but went too fast sometimes. 3 tests that make up 95% of your grade. Final was very hard. Textbook not required. Gives out LOTS of worksheets and handouts. Study a lot and do the homework. I got a B.
