I have learned a lot of knowledge from Dr. Moreno. Yes she is tough and might seemed that she does not care but truly she does. I love the way she does in class workshops. Its very unique style.

She is all over the place and does not care if you submit assignments late. Also lags to open the windows for you to submit your work but once i started asking her for help she did help me. Although she can be very cool she is a very rude teacher.

VERY RUDE!! If she finds out that you don't know something she literally shames you and the class by saying, "you should be ashamed that you don't know this," or "wow, this is embarrassing." She doesnt give clear assignments, gives too much damn work and doesn't even teach. Her other assistant people are better teachers.

Professor Moreno might seem a little tough at first, but once you get into the semester you learn her teaching style. I recommend that you ask for help if you need it, she won't hesitate to help. She gives you good feedback and prepares you for academic writing. Take her if you want to become a better writer. She expects the best from her students.

Her teaching style is very clear, she gives enough essays to help you improve your writing. I have got news for you people who complained so much I got an A, and even though I worked very hard it was worth it. Take this class is you want to be prepared for ENGL 255, or higher-level English if you don't want to then don't.

I don't know why many students complain about Dr. Moreno. She is one of the best professors I've had at CSUN and I've learned so much about writing in her class. If you are a freshman and get a score between 120 and 138 on the EPT make sure to take CH S 113A with Dr. Moreno as she is great. She was the reason why I became a writer, she inspired me.

Dr. Moreno may seem like a strict professor, but she is one of the best professors any student can take for English, because she teaches you that prose writing, you get your moneys worth in her class. Also people who gave the negative comments must have failed her class as all slackers fail. I'd definitely take her for more Chicano Studies courses.

She is the worse professor any student can take in a life time. I will not recommend anyone to take her. She keeps bragging every second that she got her PhD for Michigan University. She does not give instructions and expects students to predict the future for due date......Please, make your life easier and DO NOT take her class.

Do not take her! She does not return papers, does not give feed back, lectures are disorganized, forgets the majority of the stuff she is supposed to do for the class. i.e. final portfolio...did not return a packet of papers to go into the portfolio. and in the end you are left not knowing what your grade is. and she's not encouraging

I am sure that those who are complaining have a hard time following directions. All you have to do is: be respectful, do your work, and show up to class. What is so hard about that? She is probably the worst teacher i have ever had in my whole life. Her Chicano Studies 098 class was unnecessary. We had as much work as a regular 155 Class, plus overlaping deadlines. When you ask her a question she goes off into a different subject. I think she has this class to fail all the Chicano students, but thats just my opinion.

She does not give out instructions clearly and then gets angry when the students dont understand. She is one the most unorganized teachers that I have had and she has absolutely no symphathy for anything. i passed her class with a B, but it was the hardest class ever. Get out before you can.

Take her class is you want essays every weekend even on holidays.Her class is BORING!! shes rude to students so if u want to write essays all the time take her but the readings are interesting most essays are based on the readings. and keep you work organize for the portfolio thats due at the end

This class offers a good reading experience. Moreno means well, but she is soooo boring. She is so stuck up about her PHD. Pffft...u dont see any other professors bragging. she is rude and feels offended when you ask her to clarify. No hw,Take home essays, fun discussions on the literature, but she's a hard grader.very interesting handouts!
