Cromey was the first person I ever knew who could lecture for 90 minutes on any topic from pre-Homeric Greece to National Socialism without so much as a glance at lecture notes. His breadth of knowledge and his nose for an amusing anecdote inspire me to this day - more than 10 years after I took his courses.

This guy sucks. He misplaced our exams and wanted us to retake them, but thankfully he found them a few days later. Always made grading mistakes on quizzes, and gave us one quiz on a play that was based on a version he didn't assign us to read. Very off topic and unorganized, and tests don't necessarily correspond with lectures. STAY AWAY!!

Oh my! I am a history major, and A-B student, I have no idea what he is talking about, neither does he. He belives himself infallable even when you have three or four sources contadicting him. He is incapable of a compleate thought. Stoners make much more since! Hopefully he will retire SOON!

Everyone seemed to hate him but I thought the class was cool because the tests were multiple choice and if you studied the handouts it was pretty easy. In fact I would say don't pay attention to his lectures and just study terms and dates on handouts. He's a cool dude! Don't stress out.

All material covered in lecture has nothing to do with the tests. Besides being very hard to listen to, he gets off topic with random thoughts. The tests are a complete joke...often have nothing to do with the class material. STAY AWAY!! I wish I had known before I took his class!

I am a History major, so this class should be super easy for me. After studying over 7 hours for his tests, and not feeling comfortable that I did well on it. Thats is not a good feeling. You sit in a 2hr and 40 min lecture, & get nothing out of it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY IF AT ALL POSSIBLE.

I am taking Cromey's Hist 101 class. His lectures are boring and irrelevant. His tests are worded terribly and unreasonable. I read the book, take notes in class, and study my ass off...yet still feel completely unprepared for his class. Every week when i go to his class I leave in a terrible mood.
