DONT TAKE HIM OVER SUMMER!! This guy is a nice person but not a great professor. The class is hard to begin with but he makes it really boring. handwriting is awful!!! Tests are hard an the HW is meh. I had him in a 5 week class and this course was HARD. In part because it was a 5 week class. best advice is to STUDY ! and do all the HW! good luck !

Salazar is a good professor, he teaches the work as if you've never taken bookkeeping. I didn't take bookkeeping and it was simple; however, I do believe that it should be taken 'cause it is not an easy class. The exams are a bit hard, but if you study a lot you will do fine. Take this class and don't mess around.

VERY tough test grader, if it isn't the exact way he wants it you will lose points. Part of the class feels unnecessary, like the long lectures that aren't really useful, but eventually, it all pays off. He somehow ended up passing me. He's a good guy but an interesting professor, be prepared to not have any outline of notes or anything.

I took his class in the summer and it was my first class in almost ten years. He talks really fast, there's a lot of material and if you struggle with one chapter, you'll find it difficult to grasp the next. But he is accessible if he sees you putting in the effort. As long as you take his class seriously, he'll take you seriously.

Getting a clear undrstnding of wht is gng on in Mr Salazar's class is next 2 impossible. He uses the projector but never looks back 2 see what we can see (which is usually nothing) & gets mad if you say anythng. No parking?... if ur a sec late he pulls u aside and harasses u.. BEWARE! Sucker punches on tests!!! Take if u want a F. Just saying..

Mr Salazar seems like a good accountant, but is an unclear instructor. You will spend more time correcting his contradictions and his changes to the book during lecture than you will learning. Do not take in summer unless you are already proficient with accounting. You wil be re teaching yourself the entire course. Again, nice man but poor teacher.

If you pay attention in class and do what is expected of you (turn homework in on time) then you will pass the class. He is to the point and teaches you what you need to know.

Strict, but has a good sense of humor & is very helpful and respectful. Class gets easier as semester goes on. Pay CLOSE attention & make SURE you understand the concepts! Missing even a little bit can put you far behind. I HIGHLY recommend his class if you want to learn & are willing to put in the effort to do so. DON'T take if you want an easy A.

Mr. Salazar is a good person and wants the best for the students education. He was a dean prior,be prepared to do everything by the book and very little flexibility. If you want to learn financial accounting take his class.

It really bothered me that he constantly talks down 2 the class. I didn't feel that he explained things very well. The only reason I did well is because I took bookkeeping before this. He doesn't take kindly 2 you questioning your exam grades. He won't tell you what grade you have in class. He just asks you, "Did you turn in all of your homework?"

I took financial accounting with Mr Salazar in the Fall of 1999; he is a tough instructor, and you certainly earn your grade in his class. "I don't give A's, you earn them!" If you have interest in accounting, he will work with you. If you are a slacker, be worried. If you want to get down to the business of learning, he is your man.

While I don't care for a strict teacher, I don't like how he treats you like a first grader. I recommend you take it with someone else. I didn't have a choice because it was summer and he was the only option. But for 202 I'm taking it with the more recommended (by almost all students), Sill.

Mr.Salazar is particular about the way he wants things done. If you can be on time, come to class, and not talk you will get by just fine. You have to turn in all homework. Tests are exactly the same as the homework, no suprises :)

Keeping up in this class is a must. As long as you turn in all the work, and i mean ALL the work you should at least pass. It takes a few weeks to get used to the class but once you get what is going on and how the class works it is pretty straight forward. One of the more difficult classes I have ever taken.

Mr. Salazar is okay, he wants students to be successful. I had him for two classes, BA310 (spr'12) & Mach Calc(fall'12). If you put in the effort and you are responsible you will do fine. He does tell stories at times but they were usually interesting. The tests in both classes were way easier than the homework. I received A's in both classes.

Strict, but fair professor. You'll definitely earn whatever grade you receive, nothing is "given" out. Open book tests after first two. Final is half oral exam, so you need to know your stuff. Highly recommended.

He is a very strict but there is are ways to pass his class. Turn in a ll your homework on time. Always use the manual at the lab to check it. Be in class on time and never leave early. Homework and participation is 30% of your grade...You only need to average a 60% on all the exams to get an A

I found this guy overly strict and a little obnoxious. Didnt offer much clarity in the 1st couple days and seemed to enjoy watching us squirm over it. I had to drop a few weeks into the course due to family issues. Im going to try someone else.

If you enjoy being treated like a child by an arrogant, angry man with an inferiority complex then this is the class for you. Strict attendance/tardy policy, lots of homework, and gets angry when you talk to others around you even if he isn't teaching and if it's about the class. Good luck.
