Comment:

Be ready to work, no skating through this class. You must follow directions and earn your grade, so not recommended if you are lazy or spoiled. I enjoyed her class, she is funny and bc of how much work I had to put in, my paper writing skills and literature knowledge have improved immensely. I would take her again, simply bc she is a challenge.

Comment:

I came into this class thinking it was going to be a piece of cake. Prof. Morris managed to make it more difficult than it needs to be. Now, shes not a horrible teacher, but she isn't someone you want to take if you aren't an english major. She can be funny, but her directions for the work is unclear and her grading criteria is vigorous for a 101.

Gave me every reason to believe that this professor was setting me up for failure. There were a couple times that I have been late for class ( no longer than 10 min.) but not only did she call me out in front of the entire class, she also put me down for absent because I didn't tell her after class, " hey I'm late." I shouldn't have to honestly

360 characters isn't even remotely enough to explain out how absolutely TERRIBLE this professor is at her job. When you ask questions, which are inevitable because her instructions are so incredibly vague, she is rude and condescending. I am in law school now and I still think about the absolute disaster of a professor she was/is THE ABSOLUTE WORST

I actually enjoyed Professor Ruth's class. She is a very tough grader when it comes to the essays. I really don't have any suggestions on how to get good grades because I used all resources available to me: writing center, tutoring, etc.. I enjoyed her lectures and I think she's funny. I passed but Barely. I enjoy her as a person but class was hard

Very vague in instructions, when asked to reiterate for better understanding I was basically answered in a very inappropriate way. Very tough. I have never encountered an instructor with characteristics that she posses in my entire life. Very rude. Would NOT recommend this course to anyone interested in Professional Communications

DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE. She expects perfection on the papers and takes off lots of points for minor mistakes. She'll even call you out in front of the class for them. So prepare to spend A LOT of time on papers. Although, she does give good guidance but you can get that from much better teachers. Overall, terrible class.

- Don't take her class unless you're really strong in writing and English in general. - Very critical on papers and expects them to be as near perfect as possible. - 1 test, 3 essays, and 1 library exercise determines your grade. - Will call you out in class for not annotating the textbooks. - Vague instructions for assignments.

She is the toughest teacher ive ever had for english. She's rude to the students and other teachers. She does not help you and she WILL call you out in front of the class and make you feel 2 ft tall. She makes you think you are a bad writer.

If you can avoid this instructor, please do so. Do not willingly sign up for her class if you have other options available. She grades as if she expects perfection. She is not at all flexible; she is not willing to work with people who may have had emergencies, etc (no makeups). On the plus side, she has a great sense of humor.

Worst teacher Ive had in college. Extremely condescending and does not grade fair. Does not give clear instructions and gives no reasonible explanations for mistakes. I would stay clear of this teacher.

Her class was a killer. She is not helpful and quite rude to students and faculty. She is not very clear with instructions or grading, therefore, the class is seemingly impossible to excel in. She grades papers in every aspect you can think of; so make it as close to perfect as possible.

Comment:

There were very few assignments, therefore a small margin for error. Every time I tried speaking with her after class to ask questions she seemed too busy to talk. I still don't understand most of the marks left on my paper. I feel that she made us do the work for her with all the times we passed our papers around to other students for reading.
