Suma is one of the best profs I have ever had. Her lectures were funny and engaging, and although she goes off on tangents here and there, it was usually insightful and interesting. One-on-one, Suma is very helpful and provides good feedback on submitted work - very interested in seeing her students learn and develop and be successful.

The worst course I have taken at MUN thus far. She expects you to know everything about greek mythology and just goes on with lectures about absolutely nothing. I was confused the whole semester. There are a lot of big papers and she takes a really long time to get them back to you. Definitely wouldn't recommend this course to anyone.

I took Philosophy 1200 with Suma. She kept the material interesting, and was always available to ask questions (email, after class, or at other times). If you are looking to take a intro course in philosophy I would suggest her.

Very interesting conversations and class methods. She is a great teacher, however I often would find myself self-teaching and waiting for her insight to see if I was correct, then have her teach me.

A lovely woman who knows what she is doing but she does a poor job at explaining it. She often goes off on tangents about nothing and when she teaches it is just speed reading the text. She is such a friendly and approachable woman who can answer any question when you speak to her alone but she is not clear or useful during class time.

Suma is a great philosophy prof! She does go off on a tangent often but she definitely stimulates your interests in the subject. If you ask for help she will go above and beyond what many profs would do, and will give you extensions for as long as is reasonable. A bit slow at passing marks back but that's philosophy for you.

Suma is one of the most effective and most caring professors I've encountered at MUN. Her lectures are interesting, she puts in an effort to connect the students' other philosophical interests to the material, and she is always willing to help. A truly genuine person and a real gift to MUN.

How she can go off on a tangent about nothing is amazing, but I really love this woman. She is wonderfully bright, funny, and just a happy person to be around. I've fallen asleep in class a few times, but the end of the semester is like that with her. Would highly recommend all the same.

She's awesome. She has a hilariously dry sense of humour, and she super knows her stuff so she's not one of those profs who constantly tries to 'proove' her intelligence - she's able to come down to our level and make stuff that could be difficult really accessible. She's a stellar prof - fun, engaging, and knowledgeable. Get her!!

Suma is an awesome prof. very laid back, understanding and just a great person. Really understands students, and the pressures of being a student. flexible with deadlines. Goes off topic a lot, but she'll help you out any way she can. very approachable. Enjoyed the course even though i had no clue about philosophy!

Dr. Rajiva is one of the best profs at MUN!! She is understanding, friendly, considerate, and much more. She makes you laugh in class and enjoys a joke. She cares about the students and will help in any way possible. She can be a little more clear at times but she is still great!! She also gives extensions if needed!! I definitely recommend her!!

She makes you laugh in class, and is genuinely interested in each and every student - you're not just a number in her class. If you like philosophy, you'll LOVE a course with Dr. Rajvia. Entertaining, personable, helpful. She has a great teaching style, and relays concepts very well. Not intimidating at all (just meet with her in her office: you'll see). She's a bit unorganized at times, but she knows what she's doing. I highly recommend taking one of her classes.
