She is such a good sociology professor, really makes it worth it to show up to class with interesting, funny, and engaging conversations with the class. She really knows her stuff, as long as you show up and follow the syllabus its pretty straight forward. She also gives extra credit which is really nice

Super easy class, funny lady. How to pass: show up, watch the videos, give your opinion. She is able to use current topics as examples for sociological phenomenon. Her teaching method is the best way to learn if you, like me, cant stand reading a boring text book for the whole semester. I HONESTLY have no idea how people don't pass her class.

I took her eight week Introduction to Sociology course online. I wasn't all that impressed by her teaching style. Mostly just watching short clips from various reactionary media outlets. Not that being reactionary is exactly a bad thing, but she couldn't have make more sophisticated choices. All around, a very easy class. I got a 96 percent.

DROPPED! I was told it was easy, I was excited about the topics we'd be learning, looked at the videos we'd be watching, who was speaking and thought GREAT! Wrong, she changes the course work as you are work on it, grades harsh, I got 5/10 for introducing myself, the class went from 12 to 4 in 1 week! Waste of time an effort. Last resort!

Almost everything done on blackboard. Attendance is important and points counted. She does go off topic but opens your mind to both sides, not biased. Read, take notes and show you care about your grade.

One midterm, final, and one group presentation. She does not even teach. Just show up to class easy A. Attendance is mandatory. Lectures are just ted talks and her talking no notes at all.

Most of the class is spent talking about what's going on in the world etc but we rarely talked about sociological themes in them and such. Her tests were hard only because we never learned any of it in class cause we just talked the whole time. Also once she brought her 16 yr old daughter & wouldn't let her speak & kept sshh-ing her which was rude.

She is a phenomenal educator! She cares deeply about her students and society. She uses class discussion, humor and the "socratic" method to produce "epiphanies" for the students. She uses a good book to provide structure but provides additional material (video/lectures) to supplement the text. She is inspiring!

Miss Santiago is not very organized. There is no textbook assigned, she just basically gives you a list of links to read. "Lectures" are not clear, she is not very good at explaining things, is sometimes late, and forgets to take attendance. I lost interest in class and stop showing up. Overall, if you really want to learn something don't take her.

Do not take this class online!!! It is super easy but she harshly grades your discussion board questions. I had to email her multiple times to change my grade... She tried giving me 20/150 on an assignment... Not worth the heart attack.

She stutters and speaks to herself a lot! A VERY BORING class, but EASY A! If you show up you just watch Ted Talks all the time, fall asleep, eat breakfast, she doesn't care. She does give a midterm, and she does expect you to read at home through Console Pearson which is online only. You basically have to teach yourself throughout the semester.

Shows a LOT of ted talks. Sometimes three in one class. When she lectures she's kind of all over the place. Stats to say something and then mumbles and changes the topic. Trying hard to keep up because I like the clas. I just wish she was a little more organized and clear.

i LOVE SANTIAGO, she is very understanding when you have trouble, helps, and if you can't make it to her class, she will understand and tell you what you need to do in order to make up for it, whatever video, or to read etc. I love how you can recommend extra credit opportunities and how she open to any ideas actually. Very easy to talk to. Amazing

I really liked her class. Assignments werent too hard. We used EDMODO to take open note quizzes. Really open to class discussion and kept the class interested in the material. Reas the book & you'll do well in the class.

Santiago's lectures were very scattered, and it's an open discussion, so make sure you participate. Most of the time we watched video clips and documentaries. It's really hard to take notes by the way she teaches. Her tests can be a little tricky, but the essay part was take home. Overall, this was a very easy class and an easy A!

This professor was very unorganized in her teaching styles as well as her grading . She rarely actually "teaches" . You basically watch videos the entire semester and do class discussions . So everything in class is basic opinion. If you want to do well, go see her on your own time to be clear on how she grades. Tough grader.

Very nice and passionate, but this professor's lectures were not clear. She rarely wrote on the board and relied on TED talk videos to do the teaching. This class was open to many student discussions. She frequently started the class late, which I didn't appreciate. However, her class was easy. If you want an easy A then take this class.
