Best art professor I've ever had. No, he's not a cake walk, do you or don't you want to be the best you can be? He can and will give you all the tools to be a professional. If you can't recognize that he's fighting for you , there's a good chance you don't deserve his time, energy, or attention. Thank you for making me the artist I am Mr Goffredo.

Goffredo, he's a tough one. But in all honesty I believe he is passionate about his doings and great professor. I sincerely got out of my comfort zone in this class. If you are serious about improving your observational skill, this is the class to take.

Goffredo, with his harsh words, convinced me that I didn't have the thick skin required for a career in art. But that isn't exactly a negative. Maybe it's better to learn that in life drawing 1 rather than after years of training. Instead I signed up for an engineering class and was much happier.

He explains things thoroughly and clearly. He teaches you valuable skills. I make my living in art now. He's harsh & critical, but he's the very best teacher I've ever had. He has a nice side too. He's the kind of art teacher you want if you are serious about learning skills and being good. Most students are bad at drawing and not very dedicated.

I'm so sad that he's not teaching there :( I went from not knowing how to draw to bringing out the artist in myself!! He was no jock but who wants to joke when you are learning!! He challenged me!! I can see how that could affect ones ego!! But HE IS UNDENIABLY THE BEST PROFESSOR I EVER HAD!!! I WILL NEVER FORGET HIM!!!!! I WISH HIM ALL THE BEST!!

PROS: I learned A LOT. I have more confidence in my drawing abilities. Got an A. CONS: I found his personality hard to handle. He IS condescending & has little patience. He explains things well & will repeat but he does so very quickly & harshly. I took 1 class & that was enough for me. Maybe I am too sensitive, maybe he's too harsh.

He is absolutely one of the best professors on campus. I took this class just to learn for myself. If you care to lear, you show up, you are prepared and interested, you will take away so much from this class. Professors are not there to coax your selfself esteem. Get a grip!

Got MONEY??? This class is a total rip off when it comes to supplies needed. He will make you get the expensive paper and drawing equipment. He will make you feel incompetent if you can't draw, timed sketching of nude models. Gives negative critique instead of encouragement. Very loud and demanding, which gets very annoying. Class shrunk quickly.

He's a great teacher to people who are interested in art and put at least a little effort in reading his instructions. My class was full of people who thought they can just pass any art class to get credits and he's visibly tired of them. As well as I am. He's one of the best teachers I met. Commit yourself to this class and you'll succeed.

Goffredo is awesome. I read most reviews on him. A lot of people seems to be too sensitive or insecure to take his class. I think he is very good at explaining his projects. I am 2 weeks into his class and believe I will learn a lot this semester. I also has a great book recommendation. Art and Fear. Buy it and read it before taking his class.

Intimidating at first, but be yourself with him no matter what. DO not think that this will be a fun art class because it isn't. This class is hard for first time students taking art class. He doesn't assist students much. And he gives tedious lectures, but you can tell he loves art and he's smart

It is obvious from day one that this instructor believes he is doing you a big favor by being there. It is also clear that he hates his job. Should you ask him a question about an assignment: beware! He will chew you to pieces. He offers no help WHAT-SO-EVER. This grumpy man does not have an ounce of kindness or generosity in him. Avoid him!

Offers absolutely no help. Tells you what is wrong with your piece, but won't help you to correct. Leaves the room for most of the class. Towards the end of the semester, I actually left this class crying with frusteration. There are better ways of learning life drawing which involve constructive criticism. BOOOOOOOO

I dropped after the 1st class which was 2 hrs of yelling the syllabus at the class like we were bad chidren & 2 hrs of speed drawing with no instruction. I trust the instruction would have come later, but the rudeness and disrespect of his tone, made me want to work from anywhere OTHER than my right brain! I'm 50 & was scared to ask a question!

He is very gruff, but he does care and is passionate about what he teaches. I couldn't help but feel there were times he was "having a bad day" and took it out on students. There isn't really an excuse for that, but I put up with it and improved my drawing. I'll take someone different next time.

This was my 2nd class and the passion for teaching is still strong. If you really want to learn he'll spend all the time in the world with you. If you are looking to just slide by....then just slide by his class. He won't waste his time! FANTASTIC instructor...look forward to more classes!
