She lectures without use of Powerpoint which is a shame because it is very difficult to follow her as she gets sidetracked. Very hard to absorb the material as it is dry. She won't post grades online and you might have to wait 2 or 3 weeks to get your grade back. Class was mind numbing at times. Very poor teacher.

Ms. Parsons gets sidetracked very easily with stories. So class goes by quickly. All you need to study for her exams are her lecture slides.

Comment:

Makes the boring class material somewhat interesting through her quirky and loud way of keeping her student's attention. However, she only talks during class. No powerpoints, no notes, no visual aids whatsoever. This made it difficult to absorb the content. She is awful in communicating with her students via D2L/E-mail. Nice but not a good teacher.

Useless, time-consuming, waste of resources...just about sums it up. Class time is a joke; attendance is pointless. Cancels class and moves test dates. Learn more about her personal life than you do about MGS3400. Book is required and is your only hope of getting through the class. Read it, outline it, and pay very little attention in lecture.

This class goes over a ton of material. Need to read everything because GSU uses a departmental final for this course. She's an interesting teacher who really knows her stuff. Unfortunately she is as clueless as the students are with regards to the final. Do the extra credit and turn in all your cases. This will help your final grade in this course

Had her for my GSU 1010 (BS class I was automatically put into). It seemed like she didn't want to teach it. She canceled half the classes because she was always sick or out of town. When she was in class it (its an hour a week class), she just made stuff up and then gave us tests based off the textbook. BUT she was a very lenient grader.

Parsons is a must-take! She is by far the most interesting professor I've had. Extremely personable. She has the ability to make an otherwise BORING class very interesting. Key to getting a good grade: listen attentively in class and definitely read the text.

I LOVED HER SOOOO MUCH! SUper outgoing personality and makes class interesting. Took her as a minimester and managed to get an A. 2 1/2 hrs twicec a week was not bad at all. Take her if you have the chance!!

She teaches this class to brush up on her public speaking skills. She has a hard time understanding what the book says, so she makes up stuff as she goes. Too bad the test come from the book, not what she says. Class is a waste of time. She grades papers, and takes points off because she doesn't know her grammar. Useless teacher, fairly easy class.

This class is an easy A.Although,going to class is a waste of time,she does not teach,talks about personal life,talks about how she meets random guys on her trips from her other job,randomly forgets tests and cancels class.Overall an ineffective teacher.Class is a joke,its common sense.Her teaching style is horrible.Read the slides=A in class.

The teacher is humorous! I had a blast in her class. Read the textbook and do not rely on her powerpoints. She is an extremely easy teacher. If you don't make a B or an A in her class then you need help. I really mean it.

Dr. Parsons is really eas-going and nice. Her tests are pretty straight-forward and easy, but some questions can be a little tricky. The format for the tests is multiple choice with two short-answer questions. Her lectures aren't that interesting, but she's funny.
