At the age of 17, I majored in Humanities @ UCF. My first class was with Dr. Levensohn. He will always be an inspiration to me with his teachings of Bonhoeffer, Berrigan Brothers and MLK. My ed. continued @ Salisbury University where I actually met both Philip and Daniel Berrigan. If I could be an activist like them my ed would be complete.

Dr. Levensohn was my all time favorite of all teachers. He would split up his class in half with the first half as mandatory and the second as an open forum. He taught me how to think outside the box and changed my thinking forever. He will be missed. If we could only mentor the new teachers to focus on teaching how to think. You will be missed.

Dr. Levensohn was a hero of mine while I was at UCF. Apart from still thinking about/using what I learned in the several classes I took from him, I still recall just sitting around talking about Tom Waits with him. I teach now, and there's no doubt he influences me every day. Harriet it missed!

Dr. Stephen Levensohn was the greatest. I took World Religion, Prac. Wisdom, Moses Jesus Muhammad, and Comp. Myth with him. We talked quite often in his office and after class. He really cared about his students. It was a sad day for all of us when he suffered a stroke in fall of 99. I was just thinking of him and decided to rate him. A great man.

He's a great guy. Had him for some philosophy electives and would take him again. Stimulates and encourages deep thinking. He is very open-minded, very helpful and very clear. Classes were easy to me. Highly recommended.

awesome online teacher. practical wisdom was only a one credit hour class but so fun and easy. you could listen to the lectures on the radio on sunday nights. all you had to do was give your opinion online. thats all!!! easy A.
