Comment:

Professor Aranoff clearly knows economics, but she's sub-par when it comes to teaching economics. She constantly throws in information that only bloats her lectures. Near the end of the semester, all of her lectures took time past the designated hour for the class. There was 0 time to review by the end, and this doesn't help her bloated lectures.

Comment:

Professor is really fair when grading. As long as you take notes and pay attention to what she goes over you do not need the textbook. The review sheets she gives before the test have very similar questions on the test, only thing you need to know are key terms. She also gives extra credit through out the semester which will really boost your GPA!

Professor is good with her knowledge, but her class is boring. Gives reviews before test, it looks easy. Preparing yourself according to the review and boom actual test question is totally different, much harder, confusing questions. I don not think that her extra credits and attendance.

her lectures are very boring. gives the review before the tests but her review questions were always so easy and then questions in the tests were much harder, her reviews were not helpful at all. i think she needs new teaching techniques.

Very respected professor. Knows her subject and very disciplined in classes. Her tests can be tough but she provides a review sheet that makes things a lot easier. Definitely would take her again.

Dr. Aranoff is a great person. She really cares about her students, gives extra credit to raise your grade, gives a great review before each exam. Her lectures are very interesting and inspriring to know more and more about eco! I am so pleased I took her class! I wish she would teach echo13! I highly recommend Dr. Aranoff, she is wonderful!

Super nice. Shes patient and very willing to help. She answers all questions, gives extra credits and provides review sheets for all exams. If you need to take Eco. 12 take it with her, as long as you pay attention in class and take good notes youll be fine.

Stop talking to your classmates, pay attention, participate and you'll have a great experience in her class. It's that simple. Tests are mostly based on classwork and the rare homework that she assigns is pretty dynamic.

Amazing professor. So hallarious, kind, caring. She explains the topic in the easiest way possible. Gives a very good preview before the test. I could do great at the test even without opening the book, just reading my notes. She doesn't use blackboard, so if you miss a lot of classes, read the book and you will be fine at the test.

Comment:

Prof Aranoff is a very effective teacher. If you engage in class and not sleep then the concepts will be a piece of cake even when you're reviewing for tests/finals. Many classes that are lecture heavy are one sided with the teacher speaking for hrs, but prof Aranoff made class more like a conversation which made the course pleasant to be apart of.

Her class is very lecture and note-taking intensive. She does not provide access to any study guides, any homework reviews, notes, or lectures unlike other professors who readily upload their power points / lectures so you can go back and study anytime if needed. You will be trying to re-teach yourself from the textbook alone most of the time.

Horrible teacher, very sneaky and steals your money. Asks for money to buy news paper for everyone and guess what NOONE got the news paper. promised if we weren't able to get the paper she would return our money and guess what SHE DIDNT. Her extra credit makes no sense. Lectures have nothing to do with test. Horrible teacher. Stay away. Report her

She is a nice and kind person. However, she talks very fast and didn't writes on the board so much. That's mean you don't get many notes by her writing. She gives extra credit but it doesn't really help. The exam questions only 2-3 are from the reviews.

Ugh no I wouldn't take her again. Seriously she just talks for the longest time and you'll eventually sleep in her class. I'm not kidding. Do not get take her class. She isn't worth it. However, she gives extra credit but it doesn't really help. She doesn't collect homeork and gives 2 tests and 1 final.

For the love of god do not take this professor not only does she not give notes but she gives a review that dosent match the test. For our second text almost the entire class failed so he had to curve the grade if shes the only one offering that class just wait till the next session

If you're looking for a single ECO prof to have at KBCC, you've found her. Other profs are okay as well, esp Consolo, but Aranoff is the best. She is extremely intelligent, very caring, and loves to answer questions thoroughly and right away. Her reviews help for the test, but if you listen in class or just care about it a little, you're good.
