If you are an English major, you will be doing yourself a great service by taking a class with Dr. Morgan (and going to her office hours). Brilliant, encouraging, and forward thinking. She makes you think about current events and goes against standard lit analysis in order to dive deeper. One of the best!

Dr. Morgan is by far the best professor I've ever had. Although our political beliefs may be different, she takes care to research and accept beliefs from ALL across the spectrum. Class is interesting as hell (you won't fall asleep). She swears a lot, but it makes class more laid back. I really respect her teaching style :)

Such a great professor! I loved her teaching style, all she asks is that you think! She's really witty and interesting, and I actually think she's extremely accepting of opposing view points. I'm not even close to being an english major, but I did love her class!

As a parent returning to graduate school, I had Susan Morgan almost 20 years ago. To this day, she is by far the best professor I ever had - intelligent, funny as hell, with a keen sense of all the BS in academia. You don't know what you have until it's gone and she showed me that, among all the blowhards, loving literature was about loving life.

I had Morgan for my capstone and she is incredible. I am sorry I didn't know about her earlier. She focuses on getting students ready for the real world by interspersing current events debates with typical english class reading. love love love her.

took this class Fall 2004 and got an A, but absolutely hated the prof. she was rude and if you didn't agree with her on personal beliefs, such as religion and politics, you were "stupid". everybody has the right to an opinion-- she just forgets that hers isn't the only opinion out there.

Dr. Morgan was certainly the best professor I had during my first semester. Vulgar, loud, stubborn, and absolutely wonderful. She really wants to know how you think, and so her papers are more confessionals than analysis. For this course, very little reading, but MUCH debate. Take this class!
