Comment:

Nash is very intelligent, but this class was like watching paint dry. I was fairly confused as to when and what was due. Also, what is her deal? She takes every chance she can get to talk poorly about generations younger than her. I'm sure she climbed to school uphill both ways "back in her day". Oye.

I took a variety of classes from Dr. Nash as an English education major. She will teach you to write and to think clearly. Her classes made me the caliber of teacher I wanted to be, and I credit her with a good 40% of everything I know. No, her classes are not easy. But that isn't the point. I earned every B (and A-) I got from her. You will too.

I came to the first class (it was a night class, so it was 3 hours). She spent over an hour on the syllabus, rambled on endlessly, seemed scattered, and analyzed a picture incorrectly (super awkward). I left the class and immediately dropped it. My friends still in the class say it's terrible. I wanted to take Black Women Writers so badly too!

she is definitely knowledgeable, but the class is boring. if you take brit lit 2, prepare to read a LOT of Romantic poetry. the tests & papers were very tough. remember to keep track of when papers are due, because she won't remind you. as for the presentation, no one knew what exactly to do. she is a little easier with freshman students though.

I really enjoyed Dr. Nash in class. She has a way of being extremely laidback at the same time as serious about the course material. Extremely smart and witty. She inspired me to learn more about humanities.

If you are desirous of learning how to write well, I recommend taking as many of Dr Nash's classes as you can cram into your schedule. Dr Nash will expect you to work smart, not hard. She offers the most succinct and constructive criticism. Listen to her advise and your writing will improve. Nash brings a lot to the table. Listen and learn!

Nice woman outside of class... but she is a HORRIBLE teacher. Grades papers as if you're graduate level english major. Marks up your work like a football play book. Lots of silly, stupid rules. Makes up stuff about MLA format that isn't exactly the rule.
