Comment:
This was her first year at the University of Washington and after a short break in period she had the system down. She is always busy at office hours with students but makes time far as many as possible. Make sure you pre-read toward the end of the class because the concepts get harder and she hasn't perfected explanations for them yet.

You will need to do plenty of independent study if you want to pass her exams. Unquestionably one of the best physics professors you will ever have. Her lectures explain the chapters concisely and the work challenges you, but you will inevitably rise above and fully prepared for the rigor of engineering.

She is really nice and wants to help students, but her lectures never seem to explain the concepts right. HW is always ahead of lectures and so you have to learn it by yourself before she tells you how to do it. And recitations are really helpful for learning the concepts, just don't miss the quizzes.

Professor Brahmia is hands down the best professor I've ever had. she will do whatever it takes to make sure you understand the material. Her lectures are clear and easy to understand. As long as you do the reading ahead of time like you're supposed to, the lectures will be a refresher so that by the time the recitation rolls around, you get it.

She was absolutely phenomenal for lecture, and was a huge help outside of class when needed by email. She has the most clear voice of any professor I've had thus far, and really enjoys doing demonstrations and has fun with it in class. Would recommend to anyone who wants to pace themselves with analytical physics. Don't fall behind on homework.

She is a good professor, however what you learn in class is easy but when it comes to the homework or recitation work, its really difficult. Also, she does not like using actual numbers, she would prefer you to solve things algebraically, th to learn concepts. Her eams are really tricky so if you can ask for help because shes always willing to to g

Definitely knows what she's talking about and the in class demonstrations are a lot of fun and help you understand the concepts. She's so determined to help anyone who needs it and she genuinely tries to help everyone pass the class. Exams are not too bad and the workshops help A LOT. It's unlikely to fail unless you really just don't care

Definitely not a bad lecturer, but as the rest said, the homework and recitations often are uncorrelated to what we learn in lecture. However, she knows what she is talking about and I assume would be glad to help anyone with questions.

She may be a nice person, and explains the concepts, but she uses elementary concepts and then gives us ridicoulously difficult homework problems, and the TA's are useless. If you want to succeed you need to be good at teaching yourself.

She is amazing. Most of her research is dedicated to an alternative way of learning research so she really makes you understand what's going on. Class is easy because recitation/workshops are worth about half your grade. Definitely recommend taking Phys 115 over Phys 124!

Recitation is worth like 50% of your grade. Try to get Chaz as your TA and you should have no problem getting a B+ at the very least. Homework can be difficult though. You don't need to know physics to get a good grade whatsoever.

She knows her material, but does not know how to teach it well to students who have'nt seen Physics before. She is also a teacher that is full of herself, thinks that just because she worked for the Peace Corps we have to have respect for her. Assigns more HW than other teachers at RU, its like she thinks were at Rutgers only for her class.

While she might be nice she does not teach anything. all the problems done in lecture are elementary and the homework is ridiculous. the ta's are also useless. basically teach yourself from the start or fail.
